Looks is the clear winner here. Physique can help, and some random girls may flock to muscles and athleticism, but looks will do it every time. I know a lot of girls that even prefer bigger guys (I don't mean muscular), and don't care about physique at all. But you aren't gonna ever hear anyone say they prefer an ugly guy. Might be all they can get, but no girl is gonna go home and fvck herself thinking about an ugly guy.
I recently went out to the bars with a close friend of mine. He is skinny as hell (I call him Bones) but has the classic "good looks". I have a much better physique than him and he always tells me how he wishes his body looked more like mine. He also has ZERO confidence. I even make fun of him how he's not even confident in the fact that he has no confidence. And he agrees.
I am always the one doing any approaching when we go out. He never starts any conversations with anyone, and only sometimes joins in after I've engaged someone or a group. Yet every time, at least one of the girls flat out says "he's hot" or goes and tells him he's hot and talks to him. So yet again on Saturday... this one chick I started talking to. She actually initiated the contact, but I had to seriously work to keep this girl around. Kino, teasing, I was pulling out as much game as I could. She was clearly interested, hands kept rubbing my arms, came to sit next to me when I moved to another area multiple times, but I blame almost all of that on what I did to keep her interested. Then there's my friend, skinny as hell but "good looks", no confidence.... and that night, he had multiple girls tell him how hot he was. Some girl even randomly came up and grabbed his d1ck. So, in this case, you have me with the better physique and a lot more confidence, and I had to work to get half the attention he got. It's crazy...
So I think that both answers the question, and proves confidence sometimes doesn't even matter.
