Looks aren't THAT important!

Don't get me wrong though, you need to have a minimum level of looks to have great success with women, but...

I've recently been reading this book "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" by Tucker Max. I asked some of my girl friends if they thought he was attractive and all of them basically thought he was "cute", "decent", or they simply replied with a "no". However, this guy has the most unflappable confidence ever. Bottom line is: he doesn't worry about what people think of him. He mostly wears non-descript clothing (ie no brand-labels showing). He doesn't care about people laughing at him if he gets shot down. He doesn't censor himself because he doesn't worry about what other people think. And the result is that the guy gets laid a lot.

Also interesting to note: he graduated from University of Chicago in three years with honors and then went on to Duke law school with an academic scholarship. I've seen some people on these forums say that you can't have success with women if you're smart. Wrong! You won't have success with women if you are nerdy. You can be intelligent without being a nerd (book smarts, street smarts, etc).

Ron-Jeremy does not get chicks in the way you think he does.

He gets them as a gimmick or chicks pretend to worship him as a meme like thing.

I know guys like you say with great personanilty and sh!t that normal looking chicks thought were so fun.. they eventually fell into kidding themselves into looks don't matter. And they tried for hotter chicks and failed so badly.

Looks are obviously the deciding factor in physical attration. I don't care what you say, all the rest of the stuff preached.. don't actually make them think your hotter and make them wetter.. the rest of the stuff just gives you a better chance of getting into a situation to get laid.

I agree with this. Men who "worship" RJ are fooling themselves. RJ has cold emotionless sex with women who are paid for it. I watched him on "The Surreal Life" and his body language toward women on the show showed me he was desperate for some REAL affection. One where it isn't for his celebrity status or his connections in the porn industry.

Saying that looks are so important is an excuse for you to fail if you aren't super good looking. And if you are super good looking, it is a reason for you to look down on guys who get blown out all the time.

Different girls have different tastes. Some girls actually like guys that are husky or heavyset. Some girls date guys that aren't that attractive in the face.

I have never met a guy that was so ugly he couldn't get laid.

There are three types of people in this world: jawbones, wishbones, and backbones. You can talk about how looks are so important, you can wish you were good looking, or you can be a backbone, get out there and approach and find out for yourself.

I've got absolutely no problems in the looks department. That's actually the least of my concerns.

I just wanted to bring up this topic because I see mediocre guys get girls every single night in Gainesville, so I've seen this myth busted with my own two eyes. But, like I said earlier, you need to have a base level of decent looks - you can't be a disfigured hunchback and hope to pick up chicks.

State of mind and 'sowing seeds' is more important than looks. I've noticed, that women start noticing me, when I've risked talking to a few, closing them, or taking the initiative - even if I get rejected or blown off.

If I dont talk to anyone, and feel 'out of it', then no matter how I'm dressed, I will notice that I'm not getting noticed. So, the 'aura' that's around you, that's appears to be 'karmic' (although i dont believe in that nonesence, but, to phrase it, what you sow is what you reap), is what makes you attractive.

Thus, if you say 'hi' to six women you desire, or talk to them, then you are more attractive. If you are too timid in spirit to approach anyone, or are not putting any effort, then you will be much less attractive, even if you are dressed up - your aura will contradict it.

In all these look threads we always compare the average guy with a great personality to the handsome guy with no personality. Let s be real, if you ve got a dj who is handsome matched against a dj with average looks the good looking guy WILL win because he out classes the average man assuming they are pretty equal in dj ability. Hey it isnt fair but its true. Imaging how all those ugly or average females feel, who dont get any play because they cant be aggresors. NOW THEY HAVE IT BAD. Just be happy you re a man and that looks is not as big a weight for you. LOOKS MATTER PERIOD>
