Two and a half years, after divorcing from a seven year marriage. It was more about being bitter from my divorce than being in a slump, but I still had to relearn the fundamentals of dating, since I had been married for so long. Also it helped to learn that women want sex as much as men, but sex doesn't happen unless the guy takes initiative and makes it happen.

My longest cold streak was 25 months! And it sucked too!

I broke out of it by making "getting laid" more of a priority. I would hit on a lot more girls at partys/clubs, spend a lot more time trying to set up dates, and spent more money than I normally would (new clothes and going to resturants).

The resturant is what did it for me. I took a girl out to a nice resturant on a Friday night, brought her home to my place to watch a movie, and BANG, cold streak was over!

I understand what you are saying, but it isn't that simple. Even the biggest skanks can be picky about who they hook up with. They may hook up with a large number of guys, but it is usually a particular type of guy that they go after. I'm considered handsome, but more in the adorable nice guy sense. That's not the type of guy that skanks typically go after.

Your environment is another big factor. I'm from Connecticut where even fat chicks act like they are 10s and roll their eyes at me.

I'm not trying to whine and seek pity, I honestly just find it extremely difficult to get laid.

First eighteen years of my life. In the past 7 years after that, 3 months has been my longest dry-spell period. Have had 3 of those 3months dry-spells though.

Guess that after 3 months nature kicks in and makes you work harder for it. Gunwitch-style!

I went about eight months once.

My cold streak was broken when I stopped caring or trying to talk to people. Granted, I stopped trying after about six months, but it wasn't too much longer when the streak was over. When I waited for people to approach me (or in most cases, met random people through friends) I ended up meeting a friend of a friend at a bar who I just clicked with.
