I have been here for awhile now. I have likely received more great advice than given. Plus, I have met some really great guys on SS.

Here is what I was thinking. We have a wide range of members. Some are very savvy, some are not and some are simply noobs trying to find their way. We all have a reason for being here.

Many times, a poster will ask for advice which to some, would sound either stupid, needless or an otherwise waste of time. They might even ask for the same advice more than once.

The OP will either take the advice, not take it or consider all of the varying opinions he has received and ultimately react, adjust or otherwise make a decision on a particular problem.

Maybe we should be a little more tolerant when it comes to these guys. Even to the point of giving advice on the same subject more than once. Hey, it might even sink in at some point.

I'm one of the older guys. I have received good advice from guys in their 20's and 30's! I have also gotten slammed for a few things. Sometimes deserved, sometimes not.

Anyway, I'm gonna try and be a little more laid back when it comes to the advice I give out on here, and try and remember that what is really important some some, may seem trivial to others. :)

Yes I agree, it requires a little patience.

The obvious to some may be unclear to others, with experience and hindsight the systems and ways of the world seem to click into place... sometimes.

Wow, I never thought I'd ever see a post like this on SS. I wish more people had values like yours. We could really grow as a community that way, if people genuinely tried to help each other with this area of their lives.
