Listen up man, you have to realize that you're the ****. No one else can get in your way, you get what you want, when you want, no doubt about it. I know you don't think that way, but you have to convince yourself that. Believe it until you genuinely feel it. When I first started learning this stuff and read the DJ Bible, I faked my confidence for a while. People believed I was really confident, I walked around like I was really confident (shoulders back, chest up, head up, holding eye contact, etc.).
As for the girl, when you noticed that she kept looking at you when she was w/ the guy, you should've messed with her. Stuck your tongue out and see how she reacted, just be playful. If she reacted positively back to that, I would've walked right up to them, and said to the girl "Hey Name, I have to show you something, come w/ me" or something similar...it doesn't matter what you say because she would have followed you. That's how a man leads a girl, not the other way around. Start taking action when you want to...don't wait for her.
Another thing, GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD. Quit over analyzing everything that's going on and LIVE IN THE MOMENT. So on NYE, be playful w/ her, have a good time, but also flirt w/ other girls. Don't do it for her, do it for yourself. Its fun and exciting. Then, when YOU want, before the ball drops, take her and be playful again...and kiss her! Just do it. If she isn't receptive, her loss, but she won't. She will kiss you because you're the prize. She wants you. Good Luck.
