She knows damn well what she is doing by telling you that, and no scenario is good. For one, she could be serious and still has unfinished business with him ( like swallowing his load one more time, lol). Alternatively, she could be completely lying and trying to make you jealous to get more attention from you. Either way its a sign of a low quality women in my mind.
But would I break it off? As for exclusivity, yes. I would start dating other women but keep dating her. I mean she would still be putting out, right? But she just lost her exclusivity card by pretending she can pull that **** and get away with it. If she wants to leave, than the choice is hers. But in my eyes she would have lost the right to keep me to herself!
So for you, do whatever is comfortable. If you have other options, pursue them. If you think its a one time thing and not really indicative of trouble, stick around. It all depends on the situation which someone like me can't really understand on a message board - ergo the response I gave which might seem harsh. Honest mistakes are fine and everyone makes them.
