Its MUCH longer than 40 seconds, but I'm 110% positive the image changes direction...not because your more right or left brained THATS RETARDED!!! why do you think everyone who clicks on the link will always see it spinning clockwise for the 1st time.. after a few minutes the image changes..not because your brain is being tricked, the image literally changes direction.

I can change the direction of the spin at Will.
hate to break it to ya but no you can't, the direction changes but you have no control over it.

When she goes clockwise, she's spinning on her left leg. When she goes counter, she's on her right.

This is weird.
No its not weird...you just proved its a hoax..forget the stupid text just stare at the image and it will change direction..

You're wrong! It is a very simple concept. The shadow of an object (looking perpendicular to the axis of spin) looks exactly the same no matter the direction of spin. Your mind just picks a direction then follows it. Thats why when you look away and then look back it can change.

She changed direction right infront of my eyes. First she was spinning counterclockwise on her right foot, and now she's spinning clockwise on her left foot. You're right it's a hoax. When you focus on the shadow and not the direction she's spinning you'll miss the change in direction.

I can't get it to spin counter-clockwise. But then again, I know I'm very right-brained (which is a VERY good thing, left brain thinking can be very limiting thing). Do some of you actually keep seeing it counter-clockwise?

If you want it to change directions, look at something else and keep her in the corner of your eye (so you can't keep track of the details), then change directions, then slowly look at her again, without paying attention to the details. If she can't change directions in the corner of your eyes, try blinking a lot, imagine her spinning in the other direction

nothing to do with blinking...if you click on the link the image may spin clockwise indefinitely...if you refresh the page the image may spin clockwise and after a few minutes spin counter clockwise.

I've been able to click on the link where the image spins both clockwise and counter clockwise frequently..
You can clearly see its a totally different image when she spins the other way..

its all about when you arrive at the page after clicking the link.
its not some sort of genius brain trick that requires you to blink or look away or do anything stupid like that.

if you don't see it spin the other way refresh the page and wait a few.

Very cool. It went clockwise at first but with a little practise I learned to manipulate the direction. I did that by concentrating on the shadow and imagining that she was standing on the other leg. Now I can make her oscillate like wolf was saying. Drum&Bass is too deep in his left brain

Just put the tip of your finger near her feet and focus on your fingertip, then move your fingertip the way you want to see her spin. She'll switch as often as you like.

This almost sounds very dirty. Just change a word or two...

This is BS, then there will more more left brainers in this world than the right brainers. Remember only 9% of the population is left-handed.

It works because each still picture, it can be facing either backwards or forwards, but its the same image. Knowing that, you can make spin opposite directions. Just make her face the other way and imagine her going the opposite direction.

They definitely aren't just switching the images. What I find makes it easy for me to switch back and forth is if you cover the top of her body down to about the hips. Then I can make it switch directions every second if I want, and once you get her going one way you can remove your hand and the rest of her body will be spinning in the same direction.

WRONG. I've only been able to see it anti-clockwise, from the first second I saw it.

The majority of guys, I believe 80-90% are right brained. The majority of women are left brained.

When I first clicked on the link she was spinning counter-clockwise, then after about ten seconds she started spinning clockwise and I can't seem to get her to change back. i'm not sure how to interpret that.

I'm a right brained mofo, already knew that, so I saw clockwise at first, thenit changed, then it changed back.

wrong its the other way around. Females think more with their right brain and males think more with the left.
Nope.

Why do you think men are more spatial than women? Why do you think women are more verbal than men? Spatial-right, verbal-left.

Math giftedness seems to favor boys over girls, appearing an estimated six to 13 times more often. It’s not known why but prenatal exposure to testosterone is suspected to be one influence due to its selective benefit to the right half of the brain.
