The last hobby i picked up was photography and it worked out great. I taught myself through articles online, videos, etc. Eventually this turned into paid gigs and I do occasional work for people.
My problem is learning the piano seems a lot more in depth than photography was. Maybe I need to spend more time with it admittedly, or possibly i'm looking in the wrong direction. I don't have time to take private lessons, so online is my only resource. I also travel a lot for work with a 5th wheel so a keyboard is my only option. I want a keyboard that can somewhat mimic the feel of a real piano. What avenue should I take in learning the keyboard and what is a good beginner keyboard(price is no issue).

Developing my skills in the hobby of my choice is important to me. I indulge in my hobbies and try to become as best as i can to my ability. If at some point i feel the need lessons will be necessary, I will take that step if my job allows. For now private lessons are simply not an option.
I will search some more and see what i can find. I was looking into the 88 key digital pianos.
I'm also not sure if i should just go ahead and buy a digital piano or if i should keep trying to learn music theory and reading music before i make a purchase.
