Yes. It's a highly valuable DJ skill.

For one thing, it's just plain useful, women or no. Cheaper than going out and usually healthier.

But with girls, the ability to cook is one of those 'ooooh' things that can get you noticed. It's not that hard to do; just choose a recipe that looks complicated but isn't, like curry.

Plus it gives you a good excuse to bring them to your house...

Believe it or not this post is actually pretty motivating. Ever since my stove and oven broke I haven't cooked. I'm not fat or anything, 6 foot 3, 160 pounds, but I waste so much money dining out, and I don't have the ability to say "Hey I cooked myself some good food last night, you should come over and put my cooking to the test."

Thanks so much.

Additionally, get rid of the idea that cooking pasta is something out of the ordinary (and no, not even a bottle of red wine and candle light makes spaghetti something special).

If you want to make use of your cooking skills to impress a women, you had better learn how to cook a decent 3-4 course meal. Whilst you are preparing the main course, she can already try your appetizers and watch you do your thing. Always worked for me, success guaranteed.

In order to circumvent tense feelings from a girl's side when you invite her for dinner at your place, just suggest making her dinner at her place. Gives her the feeling that she is in control of things even though we all know she is not. After all, if everything fails, this might prevent you from cleaning up the kitchen afterwards :D

This is a great idea and something I've always wanted to learn. Any good beginner recipes? I've seen first-hand how impressive it is to a girl when you can cook them a real meal.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I think we should have a thread or something devoted to posting good recipes to not only impress the girls, but to improve ourselves.

since i never hung around the kitchen much as a kid, i don't know a single thing about cooking...

and now that i'm 21 and trying to learn, it's pretty damn hard to catchup. i dont know the things that you don't learn from a book, common sense 'feel' things like knowing when something is ready or why people put iodised salt in noodles etc

Great post, cooking is a skill I've always wanted to cover, just never got around to it though. I'm really tired of going out and paying for expensive food and then feeling obliged to tip the waiters or else they'll get all pissy.

I love being able to cook. I involve the girls in the cooking sometimes to have some fun with them and test the waters for after dinner activities

I"m living on my own and I don't have a clue how to cook. The closest I come to cooking is boiling pasta and putting ragu on it. I can also make grilled cheese sandwiches and french toast but that's about it.

I don't have a clue where to start :(

Start by watching Good Eats on the Food Network and devour anything that Alton Brown has ever written.

Soon enough you'll be whipping up Coq au vin with a raspberry and balsamic glaze which will have her toes pointed at Jesus before dessert.

Work at your favorite restaurant for a couple weeks and you will no longer have to pay for your favorite foods. It's what I did this summer!!! Get paid to learn a useful skill, can't go wrong there.

Date a girl who knows how to cook and invite her over to use your incredible, but ohhh so sadly underutilized kitchen. Win. Win. Win.
