This post is in response to a cool post I read today. http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=115429 As DJ's, we are constantly improving apon our selfs to become that guy we always imagined our self to become. BlueEyes posted on how we should actully write down some of our goals for the next year, I think thats is a great idea, but why stop there why not create a journal on our progress. This way we can update our progress and incorage others who are on the same path as us and become inspierd to keep going when things get tough. Any one is welcome to join up with us, The only thing is if you are going to join up, you must be commited to posting an update at least once a week. By doing this I think our chances of acomplishing this will greatly improve.

We should all have same format, to be more organized.

1) Education
This includes school goals, self help reading, learning a new language, becoming more confident, becoming more ALPHA ect. ect.

2) Appearance
In this catergory we can have things like loosing fat, gaining muscles, improving ones wordrobe. ect. ect.

3) Social life
This catergoy we can include things like, making more friends, expanding your network, going to more parties, getting numbers, getting layed. ect. ect.

4) Money
All goals concernign the all mighty dollar, Getting a promotion, Finding a better job, buying a house, buying a better car, investing/saving, starting a bussines, donating to carity, being more frugal. ect. ect.

5) Other
Any thing else. Becoming more adventerous, or quit smoking, Learning to surf, rock climb, box ect ect.

OK GUYS GOOD LUCK!!! LETS MAKE 2007 THE BEST WE POSSIBLY CAN!!

I should beat you up for hijacking my thread. :p

The first 6 months of 2006 there wasn't many improvement. But as time when I was stacking a lot of stuff to my own personal collection of achievements.

Acquired a job with higher position of power.
-Security personnel. I am probably going to be the smallest security/bouncer ever. But it is a challenge I am putting myself into.
-Bartending. Helps social skills. Cold approaching. Seeing how everyone interacts. Gaining party organising skills
-Paintball Field Staff. This is where the big dogs come to play. This is where other cool cats come to play too. Exciting.

All of these assists me in terms of power, identifying opportunities, experience, exposure, meeting people, banish social anxiety etc.

Books to read:
-48 Laws of Power
-Self Esteem
-The Game
-Other self help books and biographies

Money:
-Get into the habit of money management
-Save 10% of each pay

Education:
-Double my GPA...I know it is hard but aim high. At least if I land closer I still get near it.
-Reward myself each time I finish all my assessments on time

Distractions:
-Spend less time on the net.
-No TV unless it is a social thing with others
-Sleep in less
-Spend less time with unimportant people
-Don't party too much when it is not needed
-Clean up and de-clutter my "sanctuary of pleasure"

Physical Improvement:
-Gain 20pounds of muscle
-Sprint training and cardio
-Weight training

Psychological/Mental Improvement
-Acquire better, healthier self esteem
-"Leave Home"..get rid of bad habits I got from family
-Banish Negative traits (previous thread)
-Banish addictions (not drugs)

To be continued...

1) GPA
Increase my last semester average from a 3.0 to a 3.7 here on out each semester following.... by Studying 2 hrs a night, and to reduce procrastinating. pretty much get my current
2.36 GPA to a 3.0 by the time i graduate for grad school.

2) Social Life
Start a social circle from scratch(I know lots of people but i never hang out with them) Starting with hitting up the people I know already to do what they're doing...plus going to parties. Charm is another one. But first, I want to hang out with cheerleaders and sorority girls, and guys who I think are the **** who i can be comfortable around to start with. :)

3) Appearance
Have a more defined chest, shoulders, back, arms and lose the gut.
To do this, I do the Workout A & B Routine at Bodybuilding.com . Also always go with the people I know.

4) Attitude
Be less regretful for the actions I make, and just realize that bad things happen. Also not give a Bleep of what people think of me(This will take lots of time), and taking constructive criticism more easily.

5) Credit Card Debt
To get rid of most of it. The way I Plan on doing this, is save all the paychecks from one job I get, and use the money on the other job i have to live on. Its almost impossible to survive with no money in my pocket at school at an apartment if i use all the paychecks.

6) Fun Life
Learn Kayaking by going to the Clinics, then doing the real ones. Do the Rock Wall. Learn Saxophone, Guitar, and Piano. Read Books to get even more knowledge shoved down my throat :-D.

7) Women
Finish the Bootcamp. I could've finished Week 4 first try by getting rejected when i sensed a bad interaction, but I want to get rejected when i felt i got a good interaction. But after the bootcamp, I will do the New Years Resolution Journal that the first poster said for each category. But all in all, bang quite a bit of hot women, by putting myself in harder situations as time goes on.

Read swing cats book today, It bascially show good ways to establish that you are the prize, but the most important thing I got out of the book maintaning a PRIZE attitude, which will automatically make the girl chase.

As far as the bussiness is concerned im at the prilimary stages of organizing all the infomation that I need to gather. Created the bones of the bussines plan The meat of it should be composed with in the next two weeks.

As far as money is concerned I have mannged to not spend any money for the last 3 days, though I was tempted to buy some expensive shoes yesterday, I managed to talk my self out of it.

Progress with weight is slow, Althogh I have improved my diet and incoperated cardio into my daily routine. I have also started to drink more water, temptation to be lazzy is some thing I will have to battle untill the habbit disapates.

I'll bite!

1) Education
Make sure my first year of grad school (starting September) goes smoothly, paying particular attention to increasing contacts with academics in my field from places other than my school. I'll also have to do substatial outside reading, and have to learn French all over again.

2) Appearance
Get back to the gym. Not particularly interested in massive gains, but would like to get maybe ten pounds beef and definitely get into better cardio shape.

3) Social life
Spin plates like crazy, for one thing. Two, expand my interests so that I can meet more like-minded people. Could be sports, academics, film.

4) Money
Not much gonna happen here, given that I am still working in public service and going to grad school. It would help to get a little more organized with my bills and expenditures. MUST stop eating out so much and learn how to cook better.

5) Other
I need to grow up a little, being 32 and behind on the "curve". This will involve spending less time on the computer (surfing, video games) and more time "doing". It will also mean moving out on my own and away from my younger roomie.

I'm not really one for new year's resolutions as I believe in committing here and now rather than putting it off for a certain date, so the new year will just be a continuation of resolutions I've already made.

Generally, I aim to continue to better myself physically, mentally and financially, and try to live as a happier and more positive person.

Just got into town today, visting my parents for new years. Will stay with them for a week or so. I haven seen them for a while, kind of been missing them. I guess I just dint really notice till I got here.

Vegas should be awsome for new years, only wish I had invited some frineds to come along with me. There are bond to be cool things going around in the down town las vegas. I should meet some interesting people around my age at some dinner party my family has been invited to attend. Hopefuly I will be able to tagg along with them to the strip.

Diet it going well, starting to get the lazzy issue worked out. I mananged to get 30 minutes or cardio in even though I was dead tierd. Money management skills are improving as well, I thought I would break because of the 5 hour drive here, but the only money that was spent for the trip was for the gas. Was starving when I got to veags though. Ill have to remember to pack some thing for the return trip.

Well well I come back and no one has decided to add anything? Jesus arent you guys suppose to be "leaders of the pack"? more like leaders in ya crack...

Where is the progress? Where are the achievements? Are some of you just giving yourself cold hopes and no real effort in achieving goals?

DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO ACHIEVE WHAT YOU WANT

DO WHAT IT TAKES THE BE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE

What have I done in the meantime? I have already travelled overseas. Did a spiritual journey to find my roots and heritage. To find out who I am and eventally closer to fulfilling my purpose. I have given to the poor, encountered people who could have killed me in an instant, learnt a different language, ate some exotic food, experience things Ive never ever done before. In other words, I was always leaning over my "edge".

I did start work for security for a hotel and later this week maybe a cool new nightclub. Did bartending already but gave that up so I can return to my study town early for another line of profession. Now I'm getting 3fold money than I used to get.

I've read the game....ive got both 48laws of power and art of seduction and soon be finishing them. Im also getting more self help books to iron out the creases.

So come on and get off ya fat a'sses. Do something with your lives. GOd punishes those who rot in their fear, laziness and stagnance. Believe me, Ive been there before. And the punishment stings a LOT.

I think this thread is a great idea, let me put some goals on here too:

1) Education

- Ok, I would like to learn Italian. Learn to read, speak and talk Italian.
- I'd also like to learn French too. So learn to speak two languages, Italian and French.

--> Nothing concrete has been made to reach these goals. I have French CD's somewhere collecting dust in a shelf I purchased November, 2005.

2) Appearance

- I'd like to lose at least 20 lb of fat, and convert another 10lb of fat into lean muscle mass. The conversion seems to be more daunting.
- Keep a hair-cut always similar.
- Take a new photo shoot to go on my Real-Estate news papers right now.

----> Meeting with my PT on Thursday morning at 9:00 am to address these goals.

-----> No concrete action taken to take or find a place for new photo shoot. Plan to look up on this next week though.

3) Social life

- No definate goals are placed on this category. However, there is some other 'mechanism' that would account for that that's reflected on a thread "Lessons Learned this Year", so that's already handled on that thread.

4) Money
- Improve time-accountability and efficiency to make deals in Real-Estate.

---> Since January I have already put together a time-efficient program and have also seen two deals made. I'm trying to make the operation as efficient as possible. One deal made over the weekend.

Make 24 deals this year. MAKE lots of money where I'll have more choices in life.

5) Other
- Try the Vegemite sandwhich.
- Buy a new car. (ancilliary goal to the money goal)
- Go on vacation somewhere in the world. (ancilliary goal to the money goal)
- Go on vacation somewhere WITHOUT my parents. (ancilliary goal to the money goal)

- Move out and live away from home for a period of at least a few months, see how I'd manage (ancilliary goal to the money goal).

------------------

I'll update these goals later.
