What's the difference between doing them with wide grip and narrow grip?

different emphasis.

Don't worry about it. Take a shoulder grip width & pull.

Btw, switch to pull-ups or chin-ups. Better than machines.

Yeah I do them already at the end, I start with lat pulls though. Guess I'll be cutting that out.

alternate between pull-ups & chin-ups. Once you can do 15 reps, start adding weight.

Hm, alternate how? One set of pullups, rest, one set of chinups, rest, one set of pullups, etc?

depends how often you train back. most routines train back (width) once a week, so it'd be one week chins, one week pullups.

Most of the time the wider you grip it,the wider it should make your back. Same applies to rows.

What's the difference between chinups and pullups? I always thought it was just tomAYto tomAHto.
