Hey I'm going to be headed out to Vegas the first week in August. I'm going to be there from Thursday - Sunday.

Can anyone give me the skinny on the best clubs/bars to go to each night? I obviously want to make the most of my trip.

Thanks all!

Here are a few clubs I like: Marquee, XS, Surrender, Tao.

Most clubs in Vegas are all playing house/dubstep type music. Be ready to pay $50-$150 for cover. I'd suggest buying your ticket via pre-sale. Visit their website and most, if not all, of these clubs will sell pre-sales. You skip the lines and its generally cheaper than paying at the door. If you can afford it, bottle service would be the way to go.

Look into doing pool/dayclubs too. I'd recommend Marquee, Tao Beach or Encore beach. Lovely ladies everywhere but these places get packed.

Have fun.

Damn $50 to $150 cover.... are you f$*#9 kidding me? lol... I was in Vegas 5 years ago and I went to a club called Pure. It was $30 dollars and I remember waiting on line a long time.

I haven't heard of these Beach places... are these like clubs during the day? Is the cover also high?

How much is bottle service typically? I'm going to be with a few other guys so maybe it makes sense to have everyone pitch in if it comes out cheaper.

Appreciate the info!

Vegas is full of OLD people, why would you wanna go clubbing there? Seriously, ITS ALL OLD PEOPLE. CLUBBING MUST SUCK THERE.

Tryst is another good club at the Wynn. Last time I was in Vegas, Jermaine Dupri was celebrating his birthday here. For some reason it was packed because of this? I mean, come on... It's Jermain Dupri...

So we went to the free club at Paris, Chateau. It was a playmate's birthday party (forget who) and Treach from Naughty By Nature was there. It was decent. Women there for the birthday party were ridiculous. Not bad for a free club.

I've also been to VooDoo a couple times. It is hit or miss. But it's a rooftop club at the top of the Rio, so it's a crazy view.

The three times I have gone to Vegas, the groups I was with were not as into clubbing, so they didn't want to spend crazy money on cover. I am going in September this year and plan to finally go insane there.

Does anyone know the specific nights one club is better than another to go to?

You have to see what's going on at these places each night. You can go their websites, look for fliers being handed out around the city... Just be careful with the promoters on the street with all of the "passes". They ask for crazy tips, and I don't even know if what they give you is worth it. Ask around.... make some new friends and see where they are going.

I recommend doing one of the party crawls that are prearranged. I am taking my boyfriend, and I don't want any hassle because I am with a dude, so we might do this.

When I went a few years ago, I wasn't even there over the weekend and all of the big name clubs that I went to were awesome, even on weeknights. I had no plans either, just went where people said to go.

I usually go to Vegas once a month or so, I think I have been there 8 times already this year. Not sure what your budget is but here is some info I can offer.

The clubs to go and what night schedule:
Monday: XS or Marquee
Tuesday: Pure, Lavo, Hyde, 1Oak
Wednesday: Surrender
Thursday: Tao, Tryst or Haze
Friday/Saturday: Anywhere
Sunday: The Bank, XS, Vanity

Pools:
Monday: Encore Beach Club or BARE or Wet Republic
Tuesday/Wednesday: Whatever is open not big party days
Thursday: Liquid
Friday: Wet Republic or Marquee Day Club
Saturday: Marquee Day Club, Tao Beach, Wet Republic, Encore Beach, Lavo Brunch or Ghost Bar Day Club (if you're not feeling like a pool but want a day party)
Sunday: Encore Beach or Rehab...Hyde has XIV twice a month. Not a pool party but it's a good time.

Wet Republic is open 7 days a week, I believe.
Just my personal favorites would be XS for sure #1, then Marquee, followed by Surrender and Haze for clubs. XS not only has quality girls there, they have all types as well, especially Asians. And the club is HUGE, with an outside area at the pool complete with dancers in the pool. It really is an experience. Dayclubs I would rec' Encore Beach Or Marquee Day club.

Do you want a table at a club? How much do you want to spend? The minimums are fairly apparent, and the best table in the house costs a lot more than the bare minimum. But be ready to spent $2000 for a table up close at XS and marquee, and less as you move farther away from the action.

Bottle prices at almost EVERY other single club in Vegas are close to the same. They start at about $450 and go up + tax and tip. The typical bottle to person ratio is usually 1 bottle per every 4 people minimum. Better tables have higher minimums or higher fees (cash tip to the host). Busy weekends also come with higher minimums.

Cover charge at most clubs is $20-30. If you get a free entry pass, they typically do not work passed midnight and you will have to stand in line unless you're willing to tip someone at least $20 for a line pass. The $50-$150 dollar nights are for when the top of the line DJs are in town, like an Aoki or D5.

Look at DoinVegas too. The reason I refer people to DoinVegas is because in general people don't know where they want to stay or what they want to spend so it's an easy one stop shop.

I would go to Freemont street one night as well, as its the oldstyle Vegas and they have made it into a fun experience, and its cheap.

There are tons of great restaurants to go to as well. Look on Yelp for that. If you like Sushi then you are really in for a treat as their a number of great places to go to.

The best way to do Vegas is to pool it all day, drink but not too hard as they will charge you an arm and a leg to order drinks poolside, then pregame hard in your room with your own alcohol, eat at a great place, gamble, then hit the clubs.

If you want to go to a strip club go to Spearmint Rhino or Sapphires. Call ahead and get a limo to pick you up and take you to the club. That way you get in free and your only expense is to tip the limo driver.

Let me know if you have any questions.

If you want a cheap but pretty decent place to stay on the strip, I'd suggest The Jockey Club. It's literally right under the Cosmopolitan so it's pretty much like you're staying there. You get entry into their pool during the day and are in close proximity to Marquee, the hottest club there right now. If you do go to Marquee, I'd suggest getting there by 8p. It's a zoo on Friday and Saturday nights!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks my man! This is a very thorough breakdown! I will definitely try to hit up at least a few of those clubs.

A couple of questions:

1.) What are the hours of these Pool Clubs? I assume they are during the day.... is there a cover also?

2.) What is the dress code to the day and night clubs? I am from NYC area so I am used to wearing a nice button down shirt with nice jeans and shoes.... but in Vegas I know its super hot.... I assume shorts and t-shirts without a collar are a no no lol?

3.) Is Freemont St just like no cover bars? Besides clubs are there any bars/lounges that are good?

I'll be out there first week in August so if you're around definitely let me know! I could always use some stock tips too :)

You are very welcome.

To answer your questions:

1. Most day clubs are open from around noon until 6 or 7 pm. Yes there is a cover unless you are staying at the hotel where the pool is, then you may be able to get it comped via the concierge. Generally though cover is anywhere from $10-$50 depending on the pool, the day, and who is the DJ. Cabana's of course cost much more, sort of like a table at a club at night. Usually you have a min spending limit that you must spend to get a cabana.

2. Day clubs just wear a bathing suit and whatever. Nightclubs? The top of the line clubs like XS and Marquee usually require a collared shirt of some sort, no Tshirts with designs on them, no sneakers. Jeans are OK. As you get into the lesser clubs less formal wear is fine. Check ahead though if you are going to a specific club if you are going casual. For sure shorts and a tshirt will NOT get you into most vegas clubs haha. And you won't want to wear that anyway if you are looking to score some chicks. Dress to impress. All the clubs and casinos are well air conditioned, so the only time you would get super hot is when waiting for a cab outside. Wear a nice collared short sleeve shirt like from Express for example, or a nice solid color v neck T shirt if you dont want to wear a long sleeve shirt.

3. Yes the Freemont street area is pretty much no cover anywhere. Much cheaper to drink and gamble as well.

There are tons of nice bars and lounges to go to as well to start the night off on the strip. The Cosmo has two great bars, the one with the giant chandelier called The Chandelier, and another at the end of the casino, cant remember the name of it. Bellagio has some great bars. Bond is good. For sure try the bar at the Palms.....Ghost bar at the Palms is on top of the hotel and gives a great view.

If I had to say one place to drink and eat for a first time visitor, try MIX at Mandalay Bay. Great view, great atmosphere, great drinks and food. And the "scenery" is top notch if you know what I mean.

One place to Club at night for first time would be XS.

One time for a Club during day is Encore beach.

One time for a bar would be Ghost bar.

Pretty sure the Playboy club is closed now. Check on that. I have been in there before, no big deal.

If you want to try strip clubs, try Saphires or Spearmint Rhino. I rec the Rhino for sure. It is quite an experience. Just make sure you call them, get them to pick you up in a limo. You will avoid paying cover that way and the only thing you need to do is to tip the limo driver. The limo ride itself is free as well. Most people do not take advantage of this but it is well worth it.
