Kissing a woman friend on the forehead?

I would like to know whats your opinion on this? Say you see a woman friend of yours but nothing much really happened. You see her one day and just chit chat for a minute and two and say bye and kiss her on the forehead.

i heard that women would literally melt if a guy who she is attracted to did that to her. Is this true? What if she only sees him as a friend? Would you say omg what just happened why he did that or would she just take it as a friendly gesture?

Actually, the chicks I've dated seem to melt when I do it. They see it as a protective thing, at least, that's what they've said. It's the point where there's the cuddling, her hand is on your chest, and you do the forehead kiss. They've SAID it was manly (and yeah, I know, some women say the total opposite of what they actually do, but in this case, by their reactions at the time, I have no reason to doubt it), without my asking. Of course, the forehead kiss is not the only kiss to go to (unless it's a first date), and I, depending on the situation, usually go for more if she and I have been dating for a while.
