Most of the time, it really isn't as great as it's made out to be. In your case, it wasn't much different than jerking off-no emotional connection involved
In my book, getting your d.ick wet is always different and much better than jerking off!

Well i know what that "guilt" feels like, it's a split between a person you thought you were and may want to become, and the dude who wants to lay pipe. In one way i look back when i lost my virginity, and totally regret doing it. Yet on the other hand i look at the positives of the fallout of that day.
I became more social
I grew in confidence
More independant
Took on my own responsibilitys (passing my test/ getting a car)
Went from playing computer games 20 or so hours a week to none at all
No tv at all, apart from a dvd now and then.

I wallowed in self pity for days, but LIFE GOES ON. Your in the early stages, i was there. Now im 9 months down the line. It only bothers me about losing my virginity when i think about it. A year ago i would never have thought i'd have taken this path in life. Yet i ask myself, what would i be doing now if i hadnt have ACTED and stepped out the door to go on that first date with a girl? Probably still sitting in my room playing games, masterbating to whatever, yet still trying to maintain a godly front, maybe pick up a christian book from time to time to feel im still on God's team or something.

As long as you don't allow the guilt to hold you down, you'll pull through. Regret is another thing you don't want to dwell on (which is something i catch myself doing occasionally). Instead make a decision that from here on out, the past is behind you. It can be a daily battle until one day you just drop the baggage and the burden has gone.

I was talking about the lack of emotional connection. So, instead, you have a partner you don't know and think it's automatically better. I can think of several fat women,bi-polars,etc. where it would be better with the hand than be seen with or have to live with the consequences of sex. He's just had sex with a stranger who pulled a train and you think thats good? I may wipe my "little friend" off on my towel, but I'm not drying it off on the roller towel at the gas station.

don't be such a damn little sissy about it. All this tough talk about being 'alpha males', 'cavemen', 'don juans' on this forum and here we have some guys whining about how they want their first time 'to be perfect'.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

You're free to live your life as you choose. You don't see me in your threads knocking it. But when you make a statement such as "they will ruin your life", I have to point out that my experience in life is the exact opposite, and the current research disagrees with you.

I don't mean to be looking for arguments on this forum but let me just state that I grew up christian and I can safely conclude that it ruined certain parts of my personal life. And just because that research you speak of was conducted by hypochristians doesn't make it right either.

WHAT THE FVCK IS THIS SH!T ?

Funny because I asked myself the same exact question.

Hit the "Enter" button on accident so anyways...

You don't loose your virginity , you're not a girl.
You had sex for the first time. GREAT.

You don't need a special person to do it for the first time. Its pure social conditioning bull$hit.
Grow the fvck up.

I totally agree that it's social conditioning at work.

And to the OP... those Christian values imho won't do you any good. This guilt you're feeling is possibly brainwashing infused since you were a child. Sometimes it can be so deep rooted into your psyche that it will prevent you from getting it up.

Uhh... do you generally make a habit of discounting research studies because "da cwistians mahght hav don it"

I have no clue about the religious background of the average psychologist in the US. But given that the vast majority of professors at public institutions are liberals, I think your chances of them being bible-thumpers is pretty minimal.

Carry on.

Nothing being done out of habit but mere skepticism. Many of these self righteous Christians have the habit (as you'd like to put it) of changing things around to match their ideal or faith, no matter how much evidence is being pointed against it. In this case however just because research matches their doesn't mean that it's going to apply to every last person on the planet.

I misread that guys post. The study was NOT necessarily done by christians but he did use it to support his claim which ofcourse does not apply to everyone.

fair enough. Social studies tend to be like that anyway. Take firearm ownership for example. Even if it lowers crime, it's def not for everyone. :nervous:
