Keys to the VIP

An earlier post suggested the show "Keys to the VIP" and all I can say is that this show is GOLD!!!!

FINALLY!!! a show that gives guys their dignity back after having endured countless shows like ELIMIDATE and other MTV creations where guys are portrayed as pussies. For so long the female dominated media has plastered onto us the image of a supplicating male that it is no wonder that there are so many AFCs around. We need to get the upper hand back and it's shows like these that give us the inspiration.

Is it just me or does anyone else thing that Peachez is a strange name for a guy even if it's spelled with a "z" instead of a "s." I guess Grapefruit was already taken.

You might be able to grab a few good moments from watching all the episodes. Youll notice the guys who ask OPEN ended questions that let women talk and the guys who smile and have a positive attitude seem to de the best.

i disagree with the guys being PUAs. I mean they have some game, but do you all really think they are that good? For the most part these guys are really good-looking, so I'm sure they dont need as good game.

I'd rather see average looking guys with awesome game than these guys with alright game.

Your spot on as far as the show chose above-average looking guys. That is how shows in general get high ratings and viewership. Every one of these guys is in at least decent shape and is well groomed and has a semi-GQ look.

The black guy is the best PUA I saw of all the episodes (Brandon?). He competed against patrick. He had some smooth moments that I enjoyed.

They definitely aren't PUAs...I saw the video with Josh and Dodge and they really weren't good at all, but they still got some #s with basically no rapport so that should show people you don't have to be an expert.

The looks thing. Goddamn, they were a minority. Most guys just have to get a haircut, some normal/decent clothes, proper body posture, and they are on the other side. But whatever.

Guys.. keep in mind this is a TV show. I read something at Juggler's website (charisma arts), where he talked about his show in the UK (?), "seduction school. Quoting from his website:
"The thing we must all understand about television is that it is a dramatic medium. The viewers need to see highs and lows. Our real clients are never allowed to struggle that much. We take them on a steady climb up towards success. But unfortunately steady improvement makes boring TV."

With that in mind, VIP is highly edited. These guys approach a lot, and we're shown a fraction of what happened. In one scene, a woman said to the guy "I've watched you approach women all over here.. " She tagged him as a player, even though the show only showed 3 or 4 of his approaches.. nothing anyone would notice.

With all that said.. I think it's a GREAT show, but get some perspective on it. TV's basic purpose is to entertain us enough to sit down and watch a few commercials. VIP will want to show you juicy tidbits. Guys striking out many times to get to that one or two success makes for boring TV. What I get out of it is first, watching when the guys do well. They tend to be playful. Little they do goes by any "rules" like Mystery's. There's elements of being C&F, negging, banter, etc. But, it's free form, and their biggest tool (get your mind out of their pants) is that they stay calm and roll with things. So, mainly, the biggest thing I've gotten from it is just the psychology of approaching without shame, having fun with it.

Exactly, this is highly edited. An one thing you'll notice is that it will always go to 3 rounds for the purpose of the tv show. It really is for entertainment only. None of those guys on that show are PUAs. (The director specifically says it on MM forums) The 4 guys are naturals and they have some understanding of MM terms. That is why you some times here peacocking and stuff. Would be fun to see some of you guys from Canada go on it and see how it goes.

I just watched one episode (episode 3 I think, with Dennis and Josh) and wasn't very impressed (with the two guys) at all. They had good looks and the confidence to approach women, but that was about it. Their convo was total shyt, and the way they treated the friends (essentially c0ckblocks) of their targets was usually a joke.

All of the contestants are naturals. That's why they make "mistakes" but still close. Notice they escalate quickly and naturally (ie., without thinking about it or with awkwardness). They are good looking, work out and dress well.

Not a SINGLE pickup artist (community) has stepped up to participate in the show. The show's producer has flatly stated that pickup artists are too worried about whether they will succeed or not. The naturals just assume they will succeed, if not with the first girl then eventually that night. Even if she is not that beautiful. Checkout the girl the terminator kiss closes. She's hardly a striking beauty. A 5 or 6.

One thing the show proves: a good model in field trumps reading. Any amount of reading. Luckily for us, now you don't need to pay 2.5K to see models of pickup in field. Kudos.

This show is great. I love it. One thing that I kep reading in many of your comments is that you would prefer watching a PUA over a Natural on the show. That doesn't make any sense. PUAs got where they are by OBSERVING AND MIMICING Naturals.

Look at Tyler Durden - complete STUDENT of the game. If you have read the Game then you know all he did was duplicate what Style did until he could act more like Style than Style could!

Naturals are great to watch because they have subconsciously internalized what works and what doesn't. A PUA has to unlearn AFC qualities and learn the theory of why before he will test it in the field.

Why would you duplicate a copy when you could duplicate the original?

Another thing I like about this show is that this occurs in a the club. The club is the single most hostile place to pickup a girl because they are ready for your approach. You also have almost unsurmountable competition from other guys that may look better than you and have greater Social Proof.

Approaching a girl in a bookstore is EASY. The club is where you you really have to be on your game because their are so many distractions.

You obviously didn't catch everything that was said. I don't even think these guys are that great NATURALS, either. Most of them are very good-looking guys whose NATURAL game isn't even that great. Am I claiming to have better game than them? Hell no. But no matter what type of game they used, I bet it would not work out if they weren't the stereotypical guys that women want (tall, dark skinned, well-dressed, athletic guys).
