Good that you're still keeping it up with the training. :) Once you're back to regular, the lifts should go up & up again.

Btw do you squat low bar or high bar? I got to high bar 162.5kg (2xBW, around 360lbs I think) and now I'm playing with low bar. It's so much easier!

I squat low-bar. I like it better too. If I knew nothing about lifting weights and someone told me to do a squat, I would automatically do a low-bar squat because it just feels like the natural way to hold the bar to me.

Was supposed to squat on Saturday, went to the gym and they were closed. I was like ":confused:" because they were supposed to be open, I waited for a while to see if maybe the guy who runs the place stepped out for a few minutes or something, but nobody showed up. So I moved Saturday's workout to today and will push everything a day back next week.

I'm also sick, I noticed my throat was sore on Friday. Today I woke up and felt like ****. Hope it passes soon.

Squat:

10 x 3 x 365 lbs

Deadlift:

1 x 405 lbs
1 x 455 lbs
1 x 495 lbs (failed)

The 495 single was weird... I got it above the knees and just couldn't lock out. I was standing there humping the bar trying to lock out for like 10 seconds, finally I gave up and just dropped it. Usually if I can pull a weight off the floor I can lock it out, even if my form is atrocious. Still pretty happy since it was very close... I definitely would have gotten it, easily even, if I wasn't squatting 4x a week, sick, etc.

Still sick... felt like absolutely **** today. Also haven't been sleeping well because I have a fever or eating very much last couple days because I have no appetite, I just want to drink tons of water and lie in bed all day. I was dreading this workout so much, the last thing I wanted to do was go to the gym but I went anyway and got it over with.

Squat:

4/5 x 9 x 315 lbs

I forgot to bring my notebook today. I usually check off each set so I don't lose track but I felt so ****ty that I did anyway, may have done an extra one by mistake. Felt nauseous after this. I hope this cold or whatever it is passes soon.

Dang.

Get some rest and heal up.

I've never had anything but misery by working out when sick.
