Prologue: I've had issues with self-confidence and self-improvement...the works. I've come here and other places looking for the answer. Thing is, that was the problem within itself. I could not follow the plans of others, so I made my own. I believe what I have here is very methodical, universal, and can result in many great things. Try it out and if you have any success, give us some feedback for added inspiration. Take note that improvement happens with time, so do not expect changes overnight, over a week, or even 1 month. Habits take time to settle in. Do not revert to old habits once you feel safe. Once you've forgotten what it was like to be lazy, scared, and insecure, you're set for anything. Good luck.

1. Consciously make a pact to change yourself - once I make a pact with myself, I will proceed. There is no use in starting millions of plans and dropping them because you're uncommitted. I don't know how many plans I've dropped....unnummerable.

2. Succeed in 1 thing at a time - Just focus on one thing starting with little things. Focus on your weaknesses, but don't take it head on. Start with the small things. I am lazy in the morning so I will to want up at 6:00 AM tomorrow. If I succeed, I am a happier person. Once that thing get's done I will set another slightly bigger goal and so on . . .

3. Repeat #2 until you achieve your goal - be it confidence, school work, sports, whatever, you will get better using this method.

4. Continue the trend of progress - Identify another area that needs improvement. Focus on what you need work on the most as I said, but split it up into tiny tiny tasks that get bigger with each success.

When you can look into the mirror and are happy with the person you see, you're on top of the world and you're going to stay there. That's what the plan intends to do.

Epilogue: Best of all, this is like building a skyscraper. The bigger your foundation (the little things) is, the higher you can build . . . and the greater you will be. With your solid base composed of all the obstacles you've overcome and your unshakable pillars of self-esteem and values, no one can bring you down.

Then you will not be looking to impress others . . . no. It will be the other way around. People will begin to come to you to see how you do it all. How you've made a man out of yourself. How you're a goddamned success. They're respect you, and when your own self-worth is boosted by people looking up to you, is that not enough to bring you confidence?

They run into their own lack of motivation while trying to run away from it.

Yes!

Brilliant post, my friend.

To be a DJ you must set your own goals, and generally think for yourself. You must break things down into manageable steps. You must change habits, and it might not happen quickly (but who knows, sometimes it can).

The method in this post is how people should learn to do everything. This post can change your life, and it has already affected mine.

Again, great post!
