I woudln't try to worry about how much weight you gain per week. Set a goal, say at the end of the summer, for a certain amount of weight you can gain. That's the way I did it, and I went from 150 to 180 my freshmen year of college. This wasn't the fatty freshmen gain, but muscle, as I lifted the entire time. Just set a larger goal, and it won't be as discouraging if you don't gain any weight a particular week! Good luck, it can be done.

If you have the book then just about every question you have will be answered in it. I'm on the program too BTW, coming up on the 6th week of the fat loss program. So far I have lost 14lbs of fat and gained 7.5lbs of muscle. I'm hoping that means I'll pack on some serious muscle when I switch to the mass gain program.

Anyway, in the end it doesn't matter because everyone is different. There was a guy on the skinnyguy forums who had to lift for more than a year to reach his goals, but in the end he went WAY farther than he ever thought he could. Then there are guys like Anthony Ellis who can gain 32lbs of muscle in 12 weeks. The point is you have to set a goal (example: reach 170lbs @ 9% bodyfat ) and then DO NOT QUIT UNTIL YOU REACH IT. That is the secret for success in anything, not just weightlifting.

The skinnyguy program is awesome though, definitely worth the money and it will get you the best/quickest results possible as long as you follow it. You will get out of it what you put in. Half ass effort = half ass results.

ofcourse it does silver. the best way of looking at it is that if you have the mental ability to follow through on a goal such as bulking up, you have the mental ability for anything. - and you can look down on all of those weak guys who sit about all day doing nothing to improve their health

you also get a boost through the endorphins your body produces through working out. you'll feel more alive and happier and others will notice this new aura of energy around you.
