Junior year is starting in 2 days, and I need a head start

Alrite, my first day of junior year is on tuesday and I refuse to go ANOTHER year w/o getting any. Every year it's the same thing. I hang out with the girls I like but it never goes anywhere. I am very outgoing and I have no trouble making friends. Im on the football team and I get out alot. I know my issue isn't being to shy or unpopular but I can never seem to land a chick. Im probably not the best looking guy

but I since I have enough friends and can manage to flirt on occasion I don't think my looks are the problem.
I am more than aquainted with all the girls in my grade and the grade below me as well as alot of the seniors. For some reason though I always seem to get labled as a friend and just the funny guy.

How can I shed my funny friend guy image and make this year a success?

I'll beg to differ with bluelemond. You don't want to shed your funny guy image, because that is a great way to get the attention from girls. Instead, focus on being able to change that funny guy image in a second into that of a confident, collected man when you start to go in for the kill. Make that the girls you flirt with know that there can be more to it than just flirting, make your objective known, otherwise they won't see anything past a funny friend who is fun to be around.

i agree... being funny gets u big points however its up to you to use those for your cause. being funny alone will make you a cool friend. First pick out your quarry and approach her, you could just be friends but taht takes care of the first step. Next time you flirt with her, give her the inpression that you are doing it for a reason...maybe even talk to her about it. You could be like "hey listen...we have been friends for a while but its eating me up because i only have half of u. i want to be more than just your friend...so i was thinking...would it be cool if we did something sometime?" Or if your in it just for sex go get her drunk off her ass.

I am nowhere near the DJ status of some people on this board, but this sounds wrong too me. If your personality is being the funny guy, then go with it. I used to try and act all serious and stuff, but it sucked. Why? Because I wasn't being who I am.
