Cruize up to your local city office they will have more options than you know what to do with. Believe me the gov. wants you working.

i don't have time to go on their list and wait almost a year to hear from them i am 25 and going to get married in 2007. The only thing left is to go into retail and i heard that people can live off of retail. i was thinking about something like a managers position at old navy or home depot or stop and shop

That really is quitter talk. Where will you be if you work at old navy for 15 years? right there at old navy, same store. Also, you can do multiple things at once. You can work and look for a new job at the same time.

you would have better luck working at UPS (and don't say you can't a job here) and people can work their way up the depth chart.

Electricians, plumbers, contractors, etc. do well. Or a police/fire dept position. there are so many possibilities it seems unreasonable to say." I can only do retail."
