"I lost over $38 billion in cash and 35% of Amazon to my ex-wife, MacKenzie." By then, it was worth about $76 billion." __Jeff Bezos

"I can never make the mistake of marrying again. I was married to my ex-wife Mackenzie for over 25 years, but she woke up one day and told me she was tired of our boring marriage and wanted a divorce.
And when I asked him if there was anything he could do to change his mind, he told me that if I could give him half of my $76 billion fortune and 50% of the shares of my company, Amazon, he would consider staying....

I begged her not to file for divorce, but she still went ahead and filed for divorce. Then I realized if I gave her half of my wealth she asked for, she would still file for a divorce afterwards and keep half of what I had left so I let her.

When we got to court, my lawyer could only give him half of my cash and 35% of Amazon. If she was able to do this to me after 25 years of marriage, it just means marriage is not for a man. I will never marry again because I am not a women empowerment agency. " ~

Jeff Bezos' divorce from his ex-wife, MacKenzie, has been classified as the second-most expensive divorce of all time, as the billionaire paid his wife over $38 billion in cash and gave her 35% of his Amazon company.

He is AI character of the board. Check his post about the “boss who magically unlocked his employee’s phone, laughed at the texts, and when asked how he knew the passcode, casually says it was the employee’s date of birth! How likely is it that a boss just knows that, and manages to crack a phone like it’s no big deal?”

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

MacKenzie Scott Tuttle was born on April 7, 1970, in San Francisco, California, to Holiday Robin (née Cuming), a homemaker, and Jason Baker Tuttle, a financial planner.

Plus she's a writer. Began writing at age of six.

Amazon, if any of you remember was selling books. It was a book store. It's her idea.

Moral of the story: While most of us will never be 1%ers, become as financially sturdy as you can. Bezos will survive this, because he wasn't weak to begin with
