I heard about this guy barely. He was supposed to be a DJ from way back in the white and black days.

What was so cool about this guy that he was so known?

I would like to see some of his movies even if they are old. Any movies to recommend?

he doesnt have many movies, he died very young. the only one i know of is Rebel Without a Cause.

I guess he's pretty cool in it, but he's faced w/ a moral decision and chooses the goody tooshoos path, so it's kinda like a family Channel movie

He is probably most known for the way he died. Driving his Porsche 550 to a race he collided with a large sedan. I can't remember much more from his biography about his life, but I think the DJ title would probably fit. He bedded quite a few women.

The guy seems like a cool guy. I saw the movie " James Dean" he seemed like the guy who wouldn't hold back. He lived his own phrase "Live fast, die young and you leave a beautiful corpse" or something to that degree. He lived his own rules something not alot of people could do.

1st: he wasn't a don juan at all. he was homosexual (not just an experience, he was a declared gay) and was very shy, introvert and not outgoing at all.

2nd: his only movies were "rebel without a cause" (the only one i've seen so far), "the garden of eden" (i translated the title from the italian version, i don't know what's the original name) and "the giant" (the same here too).

3rd: in rebel without a cause, he was a rebel back in those days, but today he would look like a big sissy. he gets labeled as a ticket for been drunk and for reacting to a gang of bullies (basically, what every teenager does now)

iv seen all 3, my first room mate in my college was into the guy of it rubbed of me.

he had a cool persona and was introverted, but all the same cool and a dj in my opinion.

watch his attitude and see some of his candid photos,youll learn somethings.

not to sure bout the gay thing though maybe he was bi i dont know, hey they said marlon brando was gay too, i dont wana believe hollywood rumors.

don't remember everything exactly but if not mistaken that car of his is cursed! supposedly somebody died or had an accident in that same car.

Lots of "accidents" dealing with that spyder. Hey Jay-x have you seen James Dean(2001) the one with James Franco? Outta curiousity was that a hollywood upped version of James? And when was he declared Gay? I never knew, always thought he was don juan material.

actually, it's uncertain his sexual conduct. he never admitted sleeping with anyone. anyway, people that knew him in person say that in his teenage years he was shy both with guys and girls. then, around 20 years old, he started becoming more and more aroused by males. anyway, he died that young that he could even be a virgin, for what we are concerned.

James Dean onscreen definately had DJ qualities. "Giant" is probably the best example where we see him seduce Elizabeth Taylor and basically tell all the good ol' boys to fukk off.

As for his sexuality, he was definately Bisexual , having affairs with both his costars in "Rebel Without A Cause". While a great movie, with a classic sequence inside the Grifith Observatory, it is definately not a DJ movie.


While a good looking and talented guy, what ultimately made him a DJ was his ambiguity. People never knew what to think of him. It gave him a certain amount of mystery that intrigued people. They wanted to know more.

this reminds me about jim morrison... i think they were very similar in many aspects. anyway, i think this is seen as an intriguing charecteristic just in famous people... if you are like that, but you are not famous, you are likely to be considered weird, not interesting

,by the way i heard of other hollywood guys from the past who arnt bi, but pretend to be. bi or gay....

Gay men can be masculine in the same way women can be masculine.

Exactly why is it important whether he is gay or not.?

Gay men can be alphas too. Afterall in the relationship one has to be dominant and the other has to be the *****.

As long as he wasn't the latter, it doesn't matter.
