Canadian Catnip
Senior Don Juan
I have a bit of a dilemma that I need some solid advice on.
As a RAFC I have been experimenting with meeting women and talking to them in order to improve in that area.
I have known this women for about a year now and we sometimes talk. She has a boyfriend and seems to be honestly in love with the guy. I have enjoyed our talks and sometimes have faked interest in what she talks about in order to become a better conversationalist.
Now she is getting closer to me, wanting to spend more time with me because she feels so close to me and believes that I understand her.
To be honest I had selfish motivations from the start when I talked with her, mainly I wanted to get comfortable talking to women. It's gotten a bit uncomfortable for me now when I realize my selfish motives. I did not find her interesting for herself, just that she was a women.
She believes I like her just for herself and I see it as a field experiment.
The closest I can think of is if you are friendly to someone you work with and they want to hang out with you after work and you are put in an awkward position of having to decline the offer because you are only being nice to the person because you have to work with them.
Any suggestions?
