It's friday. What are your action plans for this weekend?

I finished my writing all of the copy for my website, gathering up my video clips and converting them to flash this weekend and writing the copy for my commercial to be aired in the Atlanta market. I plan on going out this weekend, not to the dance clubs, but to the upscale lounges in my city. I just want a change of venue. Since most of my friends are club rats, I'll be going solo. It should be fun. What about you?

My weekend has just started. Got back from Uni just now and plan on relaxing this evening as I have to stay sharp and commit to starting my dissertation tomorrow...err good times!!

Got some sketching and designing to do for one of my graduation projects so that will take up some time also.

It's not all work though. Got invites to two parties on Saturday evening so i'm pretty sorted as far as fun goes.:rockon:

I went out last night with a buddy had a blast, met some chicks (younger but cool) I'm gonna get ready to put 15 hours in (@ the job)and then tomorrow go out with my boys, might meet up with chicks, if not oh well there is more in the field

Then on Sunday doing what I love to do, back in the gym and church

tomorrow: Arkansas game, gym, take the GF and the baby out to eat
sunday: I'm almost done with Resident Evil 5 and damnit i'm going to finish this game on Sunday if it's the last thing I do.

I'm doing something tonight, if my GF does not decide on a movie i'm going out damnit.

I've never bothered to cold approach. I've done it by accident or met them through friends or talked to them in line to order drinks or something. But i've never cold approached.

I know. I've been here this long and I just never have.

The thought doesn't really sound/feel that intimidating or scary anymore.

I'm trying to go out more often with an intentional effort to be more social and pay attention to body language of myself and others. I texted a friend to let me know if he goes out this weekend. We're going out tonight with some people. I took another friend out last night. Then on Sunday like usual we'll go to our sports bar for NFL games and i'll see how many cute girls with jerseys on i can talk to.

The goal isn't to score. It's just to do it. Just talking for a few minutes is a win right now Or hell, just doing it even if i get completely blown out is better than never bothering.

I also need to learn not to be clueless. I've had several girls "approach" me but i don't realize they're approaching me. Then i notice they linger a little bit while i go about my business and then eventually vanish when they realize i'm not paying them mind at all. Oops. I've always been this dumb picking up signals in the moment. Even my own MOM of all people will tell me i'm completely missing signals women are sending me. "That hostess thought you were really cute." What? No way. How do you know?

So my other goal is to start consciously looking for these signals so I can start noticing them without trying later on instead of being a dolt.

I'm pretty good at talking to them, getting them interested, and all but i've just never done it coldly or paid attention to much of that PUA stuff.


So there ya go. Not much, but those are my actions for this weekend and what i need to work on.

As soon as I knock off of work, I'm heading south to go camping with some friends. We will be canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and rappelling. Should be fun

Tonight: Train, movie w/ gf, then possibly go to an afterhours.

Tomorrow: Study for ACLS class, train, then perform at a stagette in the evening.

Sunday: NFL, train, then dinner reservations w/ gf.

Got a date tonight with a chick I met at a party last Friday night. Tomorrow morning I'll be playing in a basketball tournament/fundraiser. Tomorrow evening a couple buddies and I are headed to a Fall bazaar and gumbo cookoff... we'll probably land at a sports bar afterward. On Sunday I'll be creatively loafing, LOL.

Spending time with my mum who's visiting, and I'm learning how to cook some new dishes - one would be an awesome mango/advocado salad which I can then use to pull a vegetarian cutie.

Taking a mini break from chasing hors after a massive last weekend. To be resumed on Thursday night.

Went out and played pool with some friends last night. There were no good looking girls in the pool hall. We ended up going to see a rock band and chatted up a couple of girls there. Ended up seeing an old FB and went home with her. No plans tonight, drank a bit to much, broke my own rules on that. So I'm staying home and working/watching football.

I always go. thats what we do we go and we take our personalities with us so we can make anytime anyplace the place to be. life's so much more interesting when it's not planned and it's impulsive.

So, weekend report.

Friday: Pizza night (homemade pizza at a coworker's place, bring your own toppings!). Mostly chicks from work, so nothing much happened. Highlights follow.

Girl who rarely drinks was getting rather tipsy, which ended up with constant uncontrollable giggling. Another one of the girls wanted to take a pic of her giggling (at this point, most of them were on the tipsy side), and finally managed to snatch one with my phone. Anyway, I mobile-post it on Facebook, and the following (short) conversation ensued between giggly girl and me:

Her: What are you doing?
Me: Posting that picture on Facebook of course!
Her: What? Listen, if you post that picture, I'll hate you!
Me: Bah, you hate me anyway.
Her: ...

She went completely quiet and the subject was never brought up again. I thought it was interesting.

As the night progressed the chicks got more drunk, and a very insightful group conversation on guys/relationships ensued. Bottom line: Even if she's hot, rest assured she's really insecure and yes, does think about men and sex often and relationships and feelings and the whole mess, all the time. No, really.

Rest of the weekend was quieter, I finished reviewing an article I wrote for a magazine, and did some assignments on a course I'm taking. Some exercise, and cleaning the house because it was a mess thanks to the reforms being carried out (bill footed by the landlord of course!).
