ignorance is often engraved into the mind of people by their parents. Most caucasians say they aren't racist but hypocritically make it forbidden to have a relationship outside of their race. She's a big girl and is capable of making her own decisions, and is just using her "mommy" and "daddy" as an excuse or to rationalize her answer. She's limiting herself for absolutely no reason, Just don't take it to heart and move on.

Don't let it make you angry or be afraid to go after a race of women there are still tons of them that would go interracial. You went after a girl outside of your race, most guys in this forum are too chicken to even do that and post threads like "how do I approach a white girl?" Keep it up.

If I had a daughter I wouldnt want her to date a black guy, not because I have anything agains black people (have plenty of friends) but because if accidental pregnancy birth occurs, I will have a grandchildren that will look different from the rest of the family....

No need to start flaming guys. I know to some this is a sensitive issue. This is just DJbynature's way of rationalizing his inability to cope w/ interracial dating. Its the same thing the girl did when she said "it's because of my parents" It isn't necessarily a bad thing a may just be subconcious, don't take it personally.

I live outside of the US but to me the black community are the ones who seem to be racists from what I read on the boards. If someone do anything to a black person then it is because someone is a racist. Someone say anything to a black person then it is racism but if a black person say something about a white person or an asian person then it is ok. Stop playing the racist card already.

By the way, plenty of black families are against interracial dating also, but you only hear about the white families that do it.

It is true, black people tend to blame a lot of the things that happen to them on racism. Certainly not all, but a lot. How many times have I read threads where black guys were bragging that they couldn't keep white chicks off their jock? Now they're racist?

BS! Many white guys, myself included, have no problem dating outside our race, in fact I have become a big fan of Asian women. The reason I haven't dated black women is because I haven't found one attractive enough to date. Sometimes it was appearance, sometimes it was attitude or culture. If it were purely a matter of racism, you wouldn't see so many white guys chasing Asian women. Look more deeply for the answer, racism isn't the whole story...

Black, Asian, Caucasian, Latino, Indian, Mid Easterners, you name it. As long as the guy is a great person, successful with his life, doesn't do drugs, isn't a thug, educated, ambitious, did I mention being successful?... Guess you get the picture.

But again, I can understand many parents not wanting their daughters to date "stereotypical" black guys. Like the kind that's like "yeah, I'm tough, I'm ghetto, I'm thug, I dress gangsta I talk ebonics, got no education but I play football, plus we black guys have the bigger d*cks..."
Although it's not necessarily the norm, but from my minuscule two year stay in the US, sadly the majority of black guys seem to fit into this kind. They are NOT necessarily really into this lifestyle, but many try to give out this impression as if it's something to be proud of.
Sure we all know that women like bad boys, and many times at the local clubs, the guys who got the most success are exactly those thuggish looking gangsta style dressed black guys.
Once one black guy like that even threatened to beat the sh*t out of me with his football player friends (all blacks of course, and how brave is it against one guy? ) out of nowhere, just because I was too good of a dancer and maybe he didn't like it. Sure his attitude got major approval from their blonde airhead bimbo...

If this is how they work the clubs, they shouldn't get mad if the same tactic works against them when there's a serious relationship on the line.

If you are truely a great guy, try to work the other angles a little, actually backbreaker talked about this issue already in one of his posts, basically, you need to show them and show her that you are a black guy, but a great black guy, not the "stereotypical" black guy.

Mr_knowit_all: You should really come to sweden to discover what "saying racist too many time..." means. You can't even have a swedish flag and be non racist it seems. What's worse than a girl not dating you because of your race is you allowing actions like that making you any cultural advancements were in vain. I will say that the advancement needs to continue until people stop setting their worth based on the opinions of others.

Just something to think about.
