It feels so stupid

Well, i feel stupid just going up to some girl i dont know in the hallway and saying hi to them and talking to them for no reason. My sister told me that if i want to talk to a girl dont just go up to her and talk to her out of knowhere cause then your actin like a freak, and that you should some kinda of body language like smile before you say hi to them. I mean i think it would be better to talk to a girl thats in your class or in your study hall then some random chick in the hallway

I do it all the time, thats how you meet people!! New people, new spontanous people, fun new people! When I first started trying to aproach girls, yea it felt a bit awkward, but eventually i got over it, but when i aproach the girls do i feel stupid? no, even if I feel stupid I would still do it, just to try something new. Your just making excuses like everybody else, so you wont feel as bad when you chicken out of a role of a dj. Also listen to your sis, she told you to smile so remember to SMILE!

Just apporch her and say "hows the book/the drink" whatever, it seems natural because your being friendly, your just talking LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING!!!!

You just have to learn the subtle signs of interest.

Looking at you twice is enough of a sign to provoke a conversation. Even then it doesn't take any signs at all. If they're reading a book ask them about that, etc.

People are so uncomfortable these days they don't know what a normal conversation is anymore.

Yeh I know what ur saying.. ur sister is kinda right in a way but im guessing shes just telling you that from her point of view if a guy just walked up to her.. but when i see a girl that i like in the hall.. I just get eyecontact with her and hold it untill she passes me. TO let her know whats up. then next time i see her i get eyecontact again and just smile at her and say hi. so right there is where u broke the ice. but then i just will go on and keep walking then maybe the 3rd time i will see her again and chat her up.. but thats just me i always try to find new ways to approach girls.. A simple Hi is good enough in most situations.

Just to reframe it: everyone you ever knew/ know was once a stranger. Girls want to be approached why do u think they get all dressed up sexy looking. EZ.
