Isn't "real" alpha only those who have seen armed combat?

Something that has always confused me is dating advice that bad boys and tough men are real alpha males.

Be strong and dominant blah blah blah. Every spam email I get about the latest product promising to get you laid and better with women revolves around being alpha.

The tough looking guy at the club or the bad boy drug dealer or edgy guy who asserts dominance... Whatever that means.

It's always BE Alpha!!!

But most people live such a safe life, and even the most Alpha guys by most PUA definition is tame compared to the stories of men and women in the armed forces.

Here you have a humble guy who flies Apache helicopters taking out enemy tanks. Or a squad taking enemy fire and incoming mortars with rounds flying over their head.

I don't see how anyone can claim to be alpha if they haven't ever served in the armed forces, everyone who hasn't and thinks they are alpha and dominant are just kidding themselves living in relative safety.

I have friends who have served and they told me stories that would make most non veterans sh*t their pants.

I never pretend to think for a second I am alpha because I know what veterans have been through can't be compared to pretending I'm dominant in a club for example when everything is so safe.

Not everyone that's served is alpha, not everyone that hasn't served isn't.

He's rather right, they'll give an 18 year old who's scared ****less an m16 and tell him how brave it is to fight and die for his country. I respect our soldiers whole-heartedly, to give your life to defend your people and your country? That's brave as ****. But does being brave make you alpha? No. Hitler brainwashed millions to pick up a gun and die for his cause, Hitler was alpha. Nazis? Nazis died, nazis got shot, they bought into the propaganda and felt they were doing the right thing. So no, picking a gun up and shooting at said enemies does not make you alpha, just like refuting to pick one up and dying for someone else's cause does not make you beta.

What pisses me off is when people take an entire demographic and label it as this or that as if generalizing were valid in any way shape or form.

'Alpha' is relative. You get the Alpha males of the army, the Alpha males of the kitchen, the Alpha male of the fashion industry, the Apha male of football and the Alpha male of the nightclubs etc. Alpha refers to the leader or the dominant male of the pack. You do realise OP that some soldiers read this site and visit nightclubs on their days off, don't you? And that where they might be confident out on the field engaging enemy fire they might not be so confident when it comes to women? It's all relative.

You think like a man, you must think like a woman.What matters is how they -see- you and how you play the game.Bad boys -look- dangerous, vibe is enough to cheat silly female brains.Soldier at home in his bunny slippers and -submission- to wife orders and wishes may be rock bottom beta no matter how many people he killed.

Alpha is man who leads his woman,thats it,and she follows, you dont need to be soldier or even bad boy , you must be smart and confident enough to make her -obey- you.If woman obey and respects you , you are her alpha, even if you are short,even if are fat,even if you are not soldier.

Why bad boys are considered alpha by women ? Because fear commands submission.

I noticed when I wear clothes like leather jacket,gloves,boots ... women look at me ... because I look like somebody who -could- be agressive or harm, I look like man who they may want to submit.You dont need be thug, you just need to look like somebody who shows power,confidence,who commands respect from men and submission from women.
