I've always been curious, where do recycled papers goto after they pick it up and put it in the factory?

Do they have machines handle it or do they hire a certain amount of men to fixate what goes where?

I don't think it is being invaded unless you want to throw out your personal stuff (such as papers unfolded). They are recycling so that we don't put things to waste that can be used for other things. These recycles items are sent to some place (the place where they gather trash) and they put bottles into the bottle section, papers into paper section, and so on.

1. These factories process literally TONS of material daily, I don't think anyone would be able to put forth the time or effort of trying to look through that amount of waste for something useful

2. If you're still worried, buy a paper shredder

I'd be more worried about old computer hard drives. Did you know that it is very hard to delete things from your computer? Data recovery professionals can often undelete items that have been overwritten by sensing old magnetic resonances. Most major corporations now melt or shred old hard drives.

That's true about hard drives...To completely erase a hard drive so that no traces of the original material can be recovered, you need to erase everything, rewrite over it with "junk" data, and then erase it again, and repeat that process seven times.

Yes, but most people don't care about your Freecell high scores and 8 gigs of porn.

Yeah, it is probably only necessary to combat corporate espionage. It would be costly if your competitors got copies of new product designs, client lists, accounting records, etc.

Owned!

Windows OS does NOT DELETE files. It makes a bit on the hard drive where the deleted file's data is kept. This bit marks it for the OS, as a "deleted file", but the data is not actually overwritten, its still there. I have recovered files from over 6 formats using data recovery software.

The way to delete data that the hard drive itself cannot read is a "Zero wipe". But to truly erase the drive's magnetic image, you need to do what Interpol said.

1. Smash the drive itself with a hammer

2. With a screwdriver, ruin the IDE cable pins

If you are really paranoid, take out the platers from the hard disk, saw them up in parallel strips and dispose of one strip every so often.

The only thing that's wrong with that is that there are idiots who would spend $495.00 on it.

But... but... there might be people monitoring your trash... and all the trash you ever use... and... they might... like... collect all the pieces or something... and then they might reconstruct what's on your hard drive... and then... then something bad might happen.

Seriously, people, nobody gives a rat's f*ck what's on your hard drive.

Dip the platters in a 50-50 mix of HCl and HF acids. That'll completely destroy any hope of recovery.

If your worried about your privecy you shouldn't worry about somebody going through your trash, thats the old way.....now it's the new millenium and your being watched everywhere you go. Because of increased security BIG BROTHER is keeping watch on everybody. And since the laws have been writen back in the day when certin equipment didn't exist they have free hands. you walk into an airport, your being watched, you walk down the street (in some cities) your being watched, you get on the subway, guess what your being watched, you swipe your debit card, your being watched (or taped) go go buy clothes, yap, they are still watching you. Your information is being sold, and treaded, they know how you spend money, what your grossery bill looks like, and if you like Oreo cookies or potato chips. They can even walk into your house and turn everything upside down AND LEAVE IT LIKE THAT, if they even suspect your doing something iligal.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.
