It's a lot of fun if I'm just dating & sleeping around (which is what I'm doing). Finding a quality woman for a relationship (which is what I keep an eye out for) is when it isn't so much fun. I concur with Hooligan Harry.

Sometimes I do wonder if I would be better off if I never knew "the community" existed. It obviously hasn't helped me. I've been a member for 5 years and have nothing to show for it.

What really bugs me is that I've been gathering tons of "knowledge" and am understanding stuff about the game and I know that I could be (should be) doing so much better. I know that men can get better with women but I still don't know why I haven't. It sucks knowing what I'm doing wrong but not understanding how to do it correctly.

I long for the day that I'll come here and post a success story.
I've read a couple of your posts and the recent thread about your LJBF chick. You're like a lot of guys who have the knowledge but never apply them. You'd likely have learned about that scenario when you first got here but you headed right into it just like an ignorant guy who has no clue about getting LJBFed.

Actually I did post a thread in the general forum before right after we had our first meeting. I was basically asking how to make sure it didn't turn into a LJBF. I got no responses

But yeah, I do have a lot of knowledge and applying it is difficult.

I use to be horrendous with women, invisible. The 90's were s***. I think it's true for a lot of guys here. I look back on that decade and think of all that happened...and what I did and experienced...uhhh..not much.

The DJ stuff when I first got into it was a revelation. I came out of the middle school, highschool world believing, basically what you see on tv, what the general consensus is on women. I think many experiences I've had have been beyond that. I think about the stuff I knew in the 90's, its like a 180 degree shift.

-I actually wrote a poem to a girl (online)
-Actually thought of bringing flowers for another.

The DJ stuff has consolidated my thinking about women. Made it much easier than all the random garbage I use to believe.

I think a lot of DJ stuff is a luxury for most men in this country. Esp if you live in a medium/big sized city. Or near the water. Theres all these women you wouldnt have a clue how to approach.

I'm at a point now where I dont need to do it anymore. I wonder, why should I go out. Still, I think theres more to experience. If you still get excited meeting new women, or having a new encounter, is it really that bad?

Also, theres heavy motivation from the 80's and 90's...basically not doing much. Thats major motivation for me now.

The older I get, the more I realize there are no rules. No one really cares what you're doing or enjoying. And no one picks you up in life.

For me, $$$, finances, getting settled/established, was far more important than women, marriage, or kids/family. If you cant make your mortgage payment next month, marriage/kids are not going to be very stable. Also, the divorce rate is something like 40 or 50%. Whats the point of rushing into something. If you have your act together, there will always be quality women.

Dear DarkStarr,
Yes,grocery shopping is much better than the Internet....A really good place is a Vietnamese or Chinese grocery, definitely not Arabic or Indian....have in mind a few items to buy,so maybe you have a tin of crab or coconut creme in your hand,to make you look genuine then just wander around till a chick you like is near say the Tofu Bar have a few clues as to what is done with the product, your first question will be related to identifying the Item, quite legitimate as often there is none or very little English....from there you proceed to questioning its suitability for your intended use, then if it is going well ask what they would do with it....then half way through introduce yourself tell them you have to go and feed the parking meter, but what an interesting conversation, could you ring them later?...The Mainland Chinese ones in particular are very naive and trusting and really great value...good hunting.
