Is there something wrong about nofap?

Hi everyone this is my first thread.
I fap every day, several times a day, for years.
It is not a joke. And at this point today, I can't even get a full erection when I was in my 20s. Probably because I was doing it every day, my body was inadequate. I wasn't acting very needy, even though I'm socially average, I live in a small city and if you're average in big cities, you'll be bad in small cities.
Therefore, I had nothing but a few unsuccessful daygame and Instagram attempts.

I saw this site and started correcting myself. I weighed 130 kilos and just started exercising. I started nofap etc. But there is something I don't understand.
I preferred Instagram because I couldn't find a place to meet people when I went out. (I know it's a bad choice, but I don't know where and how I can meet people outside of the gym. My gym is too far from other people and I'm embarrassed because I'm fat right now. Even if I'm not ashamed, as I said, everyone The gym he goes to is too far from me.)

As a result, I wanted to try Instagram, but I realized that Fapping was a drug for me. Even though it's only been 3 days, I feel like a bull. I started writing to a girl I normally see as ugly on Instagram. I had to wait months to meet face to face, but I wrote on Instagram.
I feel like this nofap thing has made me more needy. Since there was no porn, it was like I hugged the girls.

OP this is multifactorial and nuanced and we need to clarify what you're talking about. But first off, porn has high quality neurological studies showing that porn use in fact mirrors all the neurological changes seen in hardcore drug abuse. I don't really think there's much evidence, if any, that abstaining from fapping in and of itself does anything, though certainly a lot of anecdotes and maybe it does, who's to say.

The problem is you can't really isolate the two. Who in 2024 faps without porn? And who views porn but doesn't ever fap?

What I can say is that fapping to porn is probably worse than just viewing porn without fapping (but who does that). So if you are experiencing positive effects after just 3 days, I presume you've given up viewing porn too, and that includes softcore stuff on instagram. Or I am I wrong?

I've gone months without fapping and no porn, and months without fapping but with porn, and I can say definitively that the latter did absolutely **** all. In fact I do believe that abstaining from porn while continuing to do very light fapping is ideal (once every 2-3 weeks or so, without porn of any kind, or any porn-based mental visualizing).

If you have any more questions I'll be happy to answer them.

You're free to argue what is wrong or right about my thoughts. Everyone can fap to porn and everyone can do drugs. But not everyone is made equal. Nor does NoFap help everyone. Or rather, it's not the cure-all that others like to preach it is.

Do you think that anyone would benefit from viewing porn? And do you think that anyone would-not benefit from quitting porn? Let's leave out fapping from the discussion. Btw when I say porn, I mean internet porn (including softcore like instagram) on a high speed internet connection. Not old school porn VHS tapes or playgirl magazines.

As I mentioned, I can't even get a full erection when I do it every day.

But that wasn't my real problem. I realized that I was objectifying women, that I only wanted sex. When I didn't masturbate, I could do anything for them, but a few masturbations felt like I had taken a tranquilizer.

A kind of drug addict experiences what happens when he can't take drugs, and when I did, I got better.

I'm talking about someone who did it every day, several times a day for 8 years, no joke.

I didn't look at any pornographic content for only 3 days. If I came across it on Instagram, I closed it. But a girl I didn't normally find beautiful sent me a bikini photo and I really went crazy. I wrote to her about another photo of the girl. She wasn't very warm towards me actually. We just knew that we were in the same class, but other than that, it was like we had never talked. I don't know if she realized I was walking towards her or if it was just a casual conversation, but she just replied. I didn't go on too long.

But at the end of the day, I sent a message to someone I normally wouldn't send a message to.

In short, I feel much more needy right now.
In general, I am someone who is not mature at all, is constantly depressed, has very scattered attention, and has sleep problems. I was very happy when I learned that Nofap would solve these, but I am at the stage of wondering if it is not necessary.

We watch porn to fap. You can't not leave it out.

What's wrong with viewing porn compared to multiple people watching tv constantly everyday. Articles are bashing men for watching porn yet not one is out there about Maria binge watching a streaming show or her soap operas. It seems whenever men do something, it has to be punished.

Quitting porn likely could help some people but it's not the be-all answer to everyone's problems. Nor would I suspect it is THE answer. If we were to have a discussion on getting men more sex, that could be fixed but removing porn is not the answer. It would be removing the feminist world order we are currently beneath.

I actually understand what you're talking about. Nofap is not beneficial on its own, you say we should focus our energy on something else, but that wasn't my question. Actually, it's a little bit of that, but not in general :D
The part that is related to what you're talking about is that I don't know how to socialize. Because I started doing it in the 7th grade and I never socialized... While everyone else was in love with girls in high school, I was fapping.

But another thing is the effects it has on me. I started losing my focus, objectifying girls, having trouble sleeping, etc. I actually want these things to get better.
If I feel like a raging bull even after not doing it for 3 days, what effect does it really have?
Of course, as I said, I did this almost 25-30 times a week for 8 years... That's like 1500 faps.

Maybe you need to go to the doctor for that.

Porn induced erectile dysfunction , lots of evidence to support its a very real thing

Nofap won't solve anything, quitting porn will. Porn will absolutely lead to depression, fragmented attention, and sleep problems

My point is asking if you, or any else in your camp , would claim that fapping without porn is anywhere remotely close to the same wheelhouse as fapping to porn?

What's wrong with viewing porn compared to multiple people watching tv constantly everyday.
Because porn is a supranormal stimulus that hijacks the part of our dopaminergic reward system specifically dedicated to seeking out sex (and specifically sexual variety). The *novelty* and instant gratification from porn is the problem, and a closer analogy to TV is actually social media; social media like tiktok but also the internet in general do in fact cause the same problems that I alluded to, ie brain rot and atrophying of the prefrontal cortex. Our ancestors may have seen 10 naked women in their entire life. But now? The average 20 year old has probably seen more hot naked women than thousands of men combined would hope to ever see in their lifetime.

Quitting porn likely could help some people but it's not the be-all answer to everyone's problems. Nor would I suspect it is THE answer.
For people who had developed ED and other psychological or physiological issues, from porn, it is absolutely the answer. Most kids now start watching porn when they're like 12 and are completely ruined by it and most would stand to benefit from quitting. Older folks who didn't grow up with internet porn are less likely to have an issue.

If we're talking about someone who genuinely does not have an addiction to porn (btw severity of addictions aren't just measured by frequency of use/behavior) then yeah, quitting it probably won't do much if anything. But those people are anomalies. I'd ask anyone who claims to not be addicted to quit it (porn) for 1 year and let me know how that goes.

So I was thinking of quitting but then it's better not to quit?

Does the needy situation I mentioned decrease over time? Does the state of being a raging bull end :D
Still in 3rd days.

As I said, I started wanting girls who didn't interest me at all. The worst part is that I do sports, I do music, etc., but there's nowhere I can go and say let's meet girls... As I said, I tried daygame a few times, but now people call me "b*tch(?)" I don't know that word for guys :D

No fap and pro fap both have their place. Sometimes it feels good to be a compulsive wankster, dopamine addict and still give er to the old lady. Other times the build up from no fap changes your perspective and is fun to really unload on a lover. Also a pleasure to have good **** control. Make women really work trying to get you off. You could be practicing no fap and no orgasms at all. (rock hard erections because of nofap / no erectile dysfunction its the complete opposite)

Actually I can accept it but as I said I don't have any girl environment. I don't have any girl environment either. When I go on vacation I can still say hello to people and get along but when I return to my own city where there are only cafes, that loneliness welcomes me again. And I spent my whole life here. I have 3 years to move to a bigger city.

So yes, if my body, my social skills and the girls were at the level I wanted, I wouldn't care, but right now I do :D
Because I don't have any of them

How did you come to that conclusion...? I am saying yes, you should quit porn, and you may or may not benefit from quitting fapping, but if you're going to quit porn it will probably make it easier if you avoid fapping too, or at least cut back on it a lot ie do it 1-2 times a month, very quickly with no fantasizing or edging or any of that nonsense.

I would stop thinking about it in terms of how its effecting women. For instance your talk about objectifying...men are wired to objectify women. Everything else is kind of moot.

Yes, I wanted to too, but to be honest, I was very embarrassed.
Doctors won't have any solution for you, I'd bet my life on it. The only solution will be ED pills, or surgery, or insisting you're depressed and pushing an SSRI.

A compromise could be fap without porn (yes it is possible).
The fact that this is such a radical idea highlights my point..."fapping" has become synonymous with porn.

A compromise could be fap without porn (yes it is possible). Try to see porn as a product someone wants to sell you, and every time you watch you’re buying it. Same as for social media and many internet uses.

you can still use these things to your advantage, but only when you see with eyes unclouded by instant gratification.

Everything you just said is countered by just giving boys an education on how to watch porn healthily. Which again, doesn't happen cause of the feminist society we live in where everything men do is considered bad and should be stopped instead of healthy education of how to deal with said thing. Porn will never go away, so it's up to people to teach boys and men how to properly handle it like anything else in life. Obviously, the same lessons can be applied to boys who play games all day, too. Telling them to workout, take breaks, and save the porn for more moderate times in the day and week. This abstinence stuff is for the church and we saw what happened there.

The problem is you can't really isolate the two. Who in 2024 faps without porn?
If you compare the a$$ of your ex-gfs then you can end up fapping on memory. In fact, while working today I was writing on a paper, studying how much exposure I had to my exes a$$ and trying to compare them to which had the best a$$, and bingo almost started fapping. There were allot of calls coming through so I got distracted before my thoughts went too far.

As long as you've dealt with women, interact with women in public, there is always something to fap about. Every woman's a$$ is different (ie but they usually go in types for that type of anatomy)

In fact, I approached a thick lady in the cafeteria last week Thursday who had the biggest a$$ among ladies in that office....but while I did not fap about that, if I start thinking about a$$ of women at work, then that could be another problem.

FlexpertHamilton said:

If you look at stuff in public (ie in a private spot within a public place where nobody can watch what you are looking at but can see that you are looking at something), you are not going to fap or you'll get into trouble fast.

Quit porn. Fap when you really have the need- to keep your rod in shape and to last longer should the opportunity for action happen. Every few days should be alright to function normally. Personally I can't get secks off of my mind if my apstination lasts longer than 7 days, so I have to fap sometimes. But if it's daily, my libido and energy levels suffer and then I don't initiate anything with women.

I don't care if it's placebo or biology, it works for me, and it might for you too.
