Can't remember this specific topic having been discussed recently, but I'm curious, do you think that the pool of dateable women is shrinking?

I mean, the world isn't getting any easier to live in. If anything feminism is alive and well, and women today tend to be spoiled by their perceived plethora of "options", despite the fact that these "options" that give them attention are the weak AFC types who could never make them happy.

Personally, I can't recall having met a truly dateable woman in a couple of years. Not soemone i could see myself in an LTR with. Matter of fact it's been more than two years.

I am willing to acknowledge the fact that during much of that time I was going through a tough time in my life, but despite that fact, it just seems that everywhere I look I see women who I have no interest in other than the possibility of having sex with them. And even that isn't all that appealing when you factor in the work involved.

And the real kicker is that I have met more women in the past three years than probably the 6 years before that. Women from all walks of life....from models to managers to high $$$ saleswomen to strippers to students and everything in between. I did better at finding women I actually wanted to spend time with when I was a bartender ten years ago!

I think there has definitely been a decrease over the past ten years.

What do you think?

Back then you were naive and probably driven by your hormones. Ask yourself whether "respect" from 'her' was a priority, or were you just chasing pvssy like a dog chasing passing cars.

Dear STR8UP,
Seems like you have been living an anti climax since leaving your bar job....In my early twenties I worked in Indonesia, hot and cold women at the touch of your tap handle, took years to recover....Just now,I have two beautiful daughters, both did degrees and both were indoctrinated with Wimmins (Sic) Studies...at the time of undergoing this initiation they both were dumped by their Boy Friends, and both though really good looking are having constant problems with Men...Very difficult to even talk to them they have become so adversarial....open your mouth and you are immediately crushed with a variety of epithets.....Racist,mysogynist,homophobic,the words "controlling" "abusive"seem like part of some feminist mantra, continually popping up in their speech....are they happy?in a word NO!!!!....The pool of available Women increases exponentially, but they are mostly damaged goods....There is light in the Upland however, for me at least, there are just so many lovely Asian girls available...A breath of fresh air.....They are often lonely and very approachable (Not ****y and funny though, they have no appreciation of our Idiom, nor our humour)....visiting a Movie theatre in my Town is interesting for many of the shows the Audience is 80% lonely females 35+.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

If I decide I want to eat anything and everying under the sun, I can go to any buffet and load up. Mexican, Indian, Chinese, you name it and I will gobble it up.

So what happens if I decide to become a vegetarian? Does all the food (which is the same) suddenly become less edible? Or was it ME who changed, and everything else is really the same?

OR (stay with me here)

What if I became a vegetarian (limiting my choice) for some really messed up reason? Like some girl I had oneitis for was a big meat eater and because of her I didn't want anything to do with meat.

And so now I've effectively limited my choice, based on a NEW model of looking at the world (in this example meat is bad) which not only limits my choice, but doesn't really offer me anything in return. In this case is it still helpful to ask why the edible food has decreased?

Or should I be asking myself why I made the decision in the first place which resulted in my percieved lack of options? In this particular case, why am I expecting food to fulfill an emotional need when it really only is meant to fulfill a physical hunger need?

You have an odd view of what's analagous. It's more like the difference between rotten, spoiled, contaminated food vs. fresh wholesome food. Perception has nothing to do with it. You are comparing blondes, brunets and redheads when that's not the issue. What Str8up was talking about is eldible (datable) vs. uneditable (undatable).

beg to differ about asian women.

where i am, they are callous and aloof...i prefer to talk to white girls but of course with the asian stereotype some have i do get my fair share of "cant-be-bothered-with-you" attitude.

speaking as an Asian guy.
I agree Americanized asian women are as bad as any. Americanization pedastilizes women and is the reason so many of them are undatable.
