Is the flu supposed to give you extreme dizziness?

I got sick about 6 days ago, and it just progressed. I noticed that I started getting extreme bursts of dizziness. I don't get dizzy like how most people do where it's a constant feeling, but rather a split second of dizziness so extreme that I have to force myself to stand and not faint. Well this has been happening every 6-8 seconds for the past 4 days and while you'd never guess that there's anything wrong with me, I have been somewhat struggling to walk tbh because of how bad it is. I'm getting better now (no more heat flashes, fever going down, no longer as sensitive to touch, not as weak or fatigued) but the dizziness bursts are still there. It's almost euphoric in a way so I'm happy that it's not painful. But it still does affect my vision, balance, and cognition a bit, and that's a bit scary in all honesty. I'm eating and drinking enough. I tried looking this up online but no one really seems to have anything.

What @Bible_Belt said.

Check your blood pressure. Get your vitamins, hydrate extra with electrolytes. If it doesn't get better in a day or if you pass out go to the doctor. I've never gotten this too bad with the flu. The flu is real bad this year. Very deadly, don't underestimate it brother

Man I had a fücked up bout of this a couple months ago, well similar. I didn't have the flu tho and it wasn't a concussion from hockey? I've never experienced anything like it, ever. It was random through out the day for like 2/3 days. I think it ended up being stress related, idk.

I’m better now. Before I had trouble walking because of how bad the dizziness spurts were.
