My apolgies in case this has been discussed here already. I'm lactose intolerant and I had begun thinking about switching primarily to soy milk but I read an article on Men's Health magazine and a few others on the Internet that suggested it may not have the best effects on males in the sense that it's known to be an estrogen booster and that it reduces sperm count and other manly qualities in men when drank on a consistent basis. Do any of you have good knowledge on this subject?

I just bought soy milk for the first time. I've encountered a few vegans saying dairy product, and meat is bad for you. So, I decided to go the soy route because I heard it's healthy. Now, I'm reading this post agh! I'm actually starting to find the idea of eating and buying food a burden. When I look around most of the food is packed (they say it's bad) or the wrong kind of stuff to eat. The more natural foods tend to be more expensive or not filling. I'm really getting conflicted.

I was a vegetarian for seven years and ate a lot of soy. Silk brand chocolate soy milk tastes awesome, but that's because it's almost pure sugar.

I think the answer to your question about feeling the effects of soy consumption will be whether or not you still exercise frequently. Physical activity releases testosterone that should more than counter the effects of the soy's estrogen boosting. The only time I noticed any ill effects of soy was when I was eating it as a protein source for almost every meal and never exercising at all.

Soy products have phytoestrogens, which structurally are remarkably similar to human estrogen. As far as I know the evidence linking increased estrogen levels in people who consume a lot of soy is suggestive at best, and weak in many reports.

That said, I avoid it and will until there is some definitive work demonstrating soy to not adversely affect testosterone/estrogen ratios.

Soy is ****ing terrible, did you know if you eat a soy bean it will the last thing you eat.

Give this blog a once over.

http://thegirlcanwrite.wordpress.com/2008/03/30/beware-of-soy-the-toxic-bean-you-thought-you-knew/

Personally I find milk to be overrated anyways. I drink very little of it myself, instead I use supplements for calcium and take my vitamins. I will eat dairy products occasionally (I still love cheese) but I try to keep milk consumption to a minimum.

I mean consider the source firstly. Milk from a cow is intended for cows, not people. All one needs to do is ask Google if milk is bad for you and you shall receive an answer.

Soy Estrogen Testosterone Myth Is A Hoax

Q: Is Soy Milk Bad for Men/Make Them Less Manly? =NO.
ANSWER = NO.

THE SOY MYTH IS AN INTERNET HOAX.

"I read an article on Men's Health magazine and a few others on the Internet..." = Note--> "I read it on the internet..." -Indeed. Because the Soy Myth is an Internet Hoax.

HERE ARE THE ACTUAL FACTS:

- SOY DOES NOT CONTAIN ESTROGEN.
- SOY DOES NOT AFFECT MEN'S TESTOSTERONE.
- VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE OTHER CLAIMS WERE FOUND FALLACIOUS.
- THE SOY HOAX MYTH HAS BEEN TRACED TO AN EXTREMIST FRONT GROUP CALLED THE "WAPF" AND WAS FOUND BIOLOGICALLY FALLACIOUS.

Soy does NOT contain estrogen.

One more time: Soy does NOT contain Estrogen. None. Zero.

So why are all these places saying soy contains estrogen? ANSWER: The soy hoax was concocted that way, and made to 'appear scientific' (called pseudo-science) in order to get lesser educated people to believe it. And many undereducated people have been duped by it. Soy contains a beneficial chemical that has a name spelled similarly, and they've used this in order to trick people. Soy only contains "PHYTOestrogen". Notice the PHYTO on the front. That means "plant". In other words it's the plant form, and is only meant for plants. This is NOT identical to ESTROGEN. Phytoestrogen is NOT the same as the mammalian (human) animal form of estrogen. The form of estrogen that can affect humans is found in meat, not in plants. To give you an idea of what they've done here to fool people, consider the following example: You all know that your car runs on "gas". And it's flammable. In fact, you can set it on fire if you light a fire near it. Even cause an explosion. Well...the earth's atmosphere is MADE OF GAS! Now, one could dupe a child by telling them "gas" causes explosions, and the atmosphere is made out of "gas", if they light a match they could set the entire earth's atmosphere on fire! Oh no!--Too bad it's false, and doesn't happen. All it is, is preying upon a child (or one whose educaction in science is low) and using the fact that the words "gas" and "gasoline" are similar. But they are not identical. This is what the pseudo-science spreaders of the soy myth have done.

Soy does NOT contain estrogen! Soy does NOT decrease Testosterone in men. Soy does NOT effeminize men, in fact it does the opposite, makes men more manly. (Because soy BLOCKS the actual mammalian estrogen)

HOW DID THE SOY MYTH GET SPREAD?

This soy myth was fabricated by members of an extremist fringe group that has been identified as the: "Weston Price Foundation". This is a front group. (A faction of individuals that use scam information, contrive an appearance of being one kind of group, for example consumer-friendly, yet in reality they are pushing an underlying agenda of harmful information, in order to benefit their lobbyist sponsors, such as the meat or farm lobby, and to thwart competition and competitive products in order to increase the sales of and push the commercial products their sponsors, and in the midst of this publish false 'scientific looking' information that could potentially damage Americans, their families, and children. WAPF is an anti-american front group.)

The soy myth has been found traced to individuals such as: Mary G Enig, Sally Fallon Morell, and Kaayla T Daniel of WAPF, and spread by a known quack doctor named "Joseph Mercola" who is also linked to the WAPF. Kaayla T Daneil bragged about having duped a popular bodybuilding site called "T NATION" (Testosterone Nation) into believing her concocted soy myth. And others at WAPF have boasted of now having duped "Mens' Health" magazine and other innumerable 'chatters' on forums and chat boards, bloggers, etc, into believing it. A known method often employed by the front group is to claim credentials, for example many members of the WAPF publish soy articles and then list themselves as a "Dr." Then you observe and it turns out they're not a Medical Doctor (MD) at all, but have simply gotten someone that got a PhD in some other subject, such as english, or civil engineering, from a college, and therefore can put the word "Dr" in front of their name. Another ploy is to put Dr. when they are a dentist. This is how they can 'technically' pass muster, yet still be deceptive, as most people will never check this, and assume that someone called "Doctor" who is recommending nutritional and health information is a trained physician. Not knowing that they merely pulled teeth, or built things out of concrete.

The fake soy estrogen myth was spread in several articles such as "SOY IS EVIL!" and "THE DANGERS OF SOY!", "SOY DANGERS!" and a book named "THE WHOLE SOY STORY" which have all been traced to either Mercola or the WAPF, but now, many hundreds of other internet sites have mistakenly gotten duped and have parroted it, repeating it and parroting it (As you witness the author who got duped in Men's Health, TESTOSTERONE NATION, and undereducated commenters in forums, on tiny fitness and bodybuilding chat boards, etc). Any person saying that soy contains estrogen is confirmed fallacious. Any individual then concocting supposed 'results of it' such as becoming effeminate, growing boobs, losing sperm, turning gay, causing thyroid cancer, hurting your baby in infant formula, or dont drink it or you wont be a 'real' man, etc, is now regarded as wholly biologically discredited.

If you see any person trying to reinforce the soy myth, that person is either scientifically undereducated, or knows and is attempting to dupe you or scare you on purpose, and their postings can be thrown out and garbaged.

BIOLOGICAL SCIENTIFIC PROOF:

LABORATORY TESTS CONFIRM SOY ESTROGEN MYTH A HOAX (CONFIRMED SCIENFICALLY FALLACIOUS).

PUBMED JOURNAL:
"CLINICAL STUDIES SHOW NO EFFECTS OF SOY PROTEIN OR ISOFLAVONES ON REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES IN MEN"
"32 reports involving 36 treatment groups and 15 placebo-controlled treatment groups with baseline and ending measures involving soy, isoflavones, genistein, phytoestrogens, red clover, androgens, testosterone, and SHBG, were analyzed. CONCLUSION: The results of this meta-analysis found that neither soy foods nore soy isoflavone supplements alter measures of bioavailable Testosterone concentrations in men. There was no effect.

METASTUDY: REVIEW OF OVER 15 STUDIES SHOW NO ESTROGENIC EFFECT OF SOY ON MEN'S TESTOSTERONE

SCIENCE: "Review finds NO Effect of soy on testosterone" - METAREVIEW STUDY
Despite rumours often spread on the internet, "A review of 15 studies into the influence of soy proteins or isoflavones on male hormones has found No evidence of an estrogen-like effect." These rumours stemmed from a handful of flawed reports. "The authors criticized the studies that reported lowered testosterone levels for their methodology." One of them had only 12 subjects in it. In another, the researchers forgot to include a control, and final readings, rendering their results useless. In another one the entire result was due to just 1 subject. The soy scares were based on this flawed science. It was actually found that Soy does not cause breast cancer, protstate cancer, thyroid problems, infant formula problems, or estrogenic effects, on the contrary "Eating soy demonstrated protection against breast cancer, prostate cancer, and heart disease." Eating Soy was confirmed benficial. For women, children, and indeed men.

SOY MILK DOES NOT CONTAIN ESTROGEN. IT BLOCKS IT.

Not only that, but the actual real mammalian human-form estrogen (17-beta-estradiol) is actually contained in Steak (meat). Livestock farmers implant cows and livestock with mammalian growth hormones in order to bloat them up so that the livestock farmers can obtain more money from their weight from consumers (you). You pay them more when you buy meat at the store. In other words, it's steak and meat that is brimming with female hormones. One of these hormones is called SYNOVEX-S. It contains the effective feminine form of mammalian estrogen and it's in meat, so meat and steak eaters would actually be MORE Effeminized than the man who ate the more masculine soy. In addition, the plant-form phytoestrogens in soy has been found to BLOCK the real mammalian estrogen, so the man eating soy would have LESS estrogenic effects. The man who has been eating steak has been eating pieces of meat containing the actual human form of estrogen.

Didn't know this?

GO type "SYNOVEX-S CATTLE ESTRADIOL" into google and look. See it for yourself.

What you will see in what comes up, are livestock feed cattle supply stores which have been selling estrogen implants to cattle farmers which have been implanting it in cows, and thus it's been in your steak and meat. Look at the product box ingredients label. See "Estradiol" on the list? That's girl's feminine estrogen. The meat industry lobby was caught some years ago exposed injecting estrogen into steak, and this is why they came up with the idea to purport 'there's estrogen in plants!'(false, it's phytoestrogens which only sound the same and have no effect.). At first, the meat industry tried to use 'Cabbage'. They put out press releases saying their estrogen implants were insignificant, and that 'cabbage' had 10-thousand times the amount of 'estrogen' in it(false). When they were scientifically disproven on that, they switched to attempting to blame soy. Also note, someone will inevitably also claim GM. Know that virtually ALL GM soy is not meant for human consumption, it's fed to cattle. In other words, if someone attempts to scare you from eating soy by saying you've been eating dangerous GM soy, the person eating soy probably has not because it's the non-GM soy mainly used in tofu, but the person who has been saying 'real men eat meat' has been eating the equivalent of thousands upon thousands of pounds of Genetically Modified animal grade soy products fed to cattle by meat farmers and it's now in their steak.

Please be aware of it.

Anyone caught 'insisting' on the soy myth from now on, is discredited and their posts can be disregarded.

These are scientific articles and medical reviews of information showing actual studies debunking the illicit chat-board spread soy estrogen myth.

The goal of the hoaxers and idea of the spreaders is to either dupe the public and get a poorly educated individual to actually repost it and spread it again, or merely to plant the seed to get someone to question it just enough to say "I'll just wait and I'll avoid it just to be 'sure'"--that signals that the illicit Front Group won and beat yet another individual. Those people who are competent on the subject of science know it's a myth.

Well, why thank you for debunking this myth cos I am trying to replace drinking regular milk with soy which would be of better health benefits to me. I think the idea of a facts evaluation is cool.

PETA, much?

My family raises livestock. We don't use hormones, anti-biotics, bovine water-boarding:) , or any other cow torture that you see on PETA's web sites. No one we've ever known or seen does, either. It's all propaganda designed to fool people like you who are not that familiar with cows.

The vegetarian propaganda is not any different than the meat industry propaganda. They each have the agenda of making the other one look bad.

I don't need propaganda soy research, because I have my own experience. I'd urge anyone who really wants to find out the answer to get a case of the jumbo soy Boca Burgers:
http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=155415&navAction=

Eat 3-4 of those a day, drink about a half-gal of the soy milk, and you'll get 100 grams of soy protein a day. Then avoid exercise, stick to that diet, and tell me that after a while you don't feel different.

Steak & Beef Contains The Male-effeminizing Form Of Estrogen

"Bible_Belt" erroneously tried to write: "My family raises livestock. We don't use hormones...No one we've ever known or seen does, either. It's all propaganda designed to fool people like you who are not that familiar with cows.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS:

VIEW IT:

HTML:
<IMG SRC=http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/4937/synovexsestrogenestradi.jpg>
Or PUT in any browser: img848.imageshack.us/img848/4937/synovexsestrogenestradi.jpg

Ok, what you see right in this picture is a screen shot of a cattle store selling PURE FEMALE ESTROGEN (17-Beta-Estradiol) which is added to growth hormone implants being used for cattle. And your meat used for your steak.

To all viewers: You can independently verify this yourself by typing this in any web browser: jefferslivestock (dot) com THEN PASTE THIS AFTER IT: /synovex-s/camid/liv/cp/F7-SB/

That is the actual site of a meat-industry cattle farmer supply store (staffed with tons of experts in raising cattle, cattle farming, and production).

In addition, you and any person can simply put "SYNOVEX-S ESTRADIOL STEERS" into google, and see hundreds of cattle industry stores selling this to livestock beef and cow farmers. In other words, it's not just 1 store, it's thousands. Fort Dodge. Cattlestore. Pfi-zer. Jeffers livestock. Allivet. and more. This is a massive industry-wide operation going on. Adding estrogen to beef is routine.

Notice a couple points here:

1. CATTLE FARMERS NOW ADMIT NEARLY ALL MEAT HAS ESTROGEN:

Note that all of this information is direct off of one of the most predominant authentic Livestock & Cattle Rancher supply sites. In other words, they are Cattle Ranchers, they are on the side of Meat, they sell products to advocate meat, they push eating steak, they are part of the cattle industry, they are not peta, they are not an animal-saving organization, this is straight off of a Cattle Ranchers supply site who are meat-eaters providing tools, nutrients, supplies, feed, medicines, and all manner of items to support eating meat, they are against vegetarians--and they are showing PROOF THAT LIVESTOCK FARMERS ARE INJECTING ESTROGEN IN MEAT.

In other words, if ANY person attempts to go against the information shown plainly in this photo of estrogen implants designed to be pushed in meat, that person is now attacking their own side. Any individual attempting to say that this proof showing livestock farmers advocating SYNOVEX-S containing 17-beta-estradiol for cattle is a lie, is now calling his OWN side liars. It means that a meat-eater can't say this proof is wrong--if he does, he will be debunking himself and saying that meat-eaters are liars because this evidence is coming straight from cattle and meat suppliers who are helping to sell meat.

This shows proof that the MALE-EFFEMINIZING FORM of FEMININE ESTROGEN which is specifically designed for being implanted into your Beef, is being bought and sold by multitudes of cow farmers. Thus a meat eater cannot debunk this, because they will instantly debunk themselves and invalidate their own side and position. It's a catch-22 for meat-eaters.

Livestock cattle farmers themselves are showing proof that they are soaking meat with Feminine-Form Estrogen. There's no way around it.

2. "ANECDOTES" CANNOT BE USED.

"Bible Belt" erroneously tried to assert: "My family raises livestock. We don't use hormones...No one we've ever known or seen does, either."=SIMPLY AN ANECDOTE.

This is merely what's commonly called an "Anecdote". An "Anecdote" is unscientific evidence that is qualified as "HEAR-SAY" and would be thrown out and inadmissible in court. It's a 'story' which often describes merely a few outlyers, sometimes even an example of only 1 is used in an anecdote as well, and then the person attempts to insinuate that it's the same across the entire world.(false technique)

Here's an example: "THE SMOKIN' GRANNY" EXCUSE

"Well, in MY family, MY grandmother chain-smoked all day long, and SHE lived to 92!"...therefore the individual expects you to believe cigarettes will lead everyone to a long cancer-free life. Which is of course false. Once you begin proper scientific testing and including all of those who died at 30, 40, etc from cancer, using proper randomized, blind studies, then you begin pulling down the average and find that cigarettes are one of the worst things you could do to damage your health, and cause damage if you advocated them to your child for 'long life'. Note that also peta was not mentioned-at all. The confirmation provided was scientific, and from scientific and medical studies and from the meat industry itself. The chatter posting the meat comment is the one who invoked PETA. Watch for this, as this is a ploy often used when one is not scientific. Also watch out for any perpetrator attempting to post this: 'petakillsanimals'. Keep in mind that the information above has no relation to it, yet those who attempt to assert misinformation often attempt to invoke peta or petakillsanimals (dot) com, this is a known scam site. That web site is owned by a front group called the "CCF". A front group is a group that claims to appear as one thing, but is concealing another. For example, the CCF calls themselves the "Center for Consumer Freedom" which tries to dupe people into thinking they are some kind of 'consumer reports' type public organization, when in actuality they are an extremist group which advocates things that can cause human death. For example, the "Center for Consumer Freedom" bad-mouthed american mothers whose child died due to a drunk driver--Yes, the CCF sided with drunk drivers, cheering them to drink more, and putting down 'mothers' whose child was killed. Why? Because they are paid by the alcohol lobby, and the drunk drivers would help them make MORE alcoholic sales for their benefactors, and the mothers were trying to tell people not to drink so much, thus the CCF smeared Mothers Against Drunk Driving for cutting into their sales, even though it causes human death. CCF cheered Drunk Drivers, this is the same group that runs "petakillsanmials (dot) com". The Center for Consumer Freedom also cheered people to smoke more tobacco. Paid by the cigarette lobby. Which obviously causes human death from cancer, and they are willing to hurt your family and child for money. The CCF also fronts on behalf of the "National Restaurant Association"--you may know this because this is the same entity that was involved in paying off the victims of sexual harassment by the American republican conservative presidential candidate HERMAN CAIN. Herman Cain was the CEO of the Nat'l Restaurant Association, was accused of unwantedly sexually harassing a woman, charges were brought, and the company paid off a settlement to the victim in exchange for keeping quiet and concealing that it had happened. The same Nat'l Restaurant Association pays the Center for Consumer Freedom to put up doctored pseudoscientific information begging people to eat more processed meats, meat products, etc--because restaurants make money off of people when they can sell more of it, even though it is linked to cancer. And this is why you'll see the CCF chastize peta and anything 'vegetarian' because they advocate being more healthy and killing less animals, so it cuts into their profits from the meat. This is why the CCF attacks peta and anyone eating fruits and vegetables, even though the CCF's items are linked to rectal cancer. However, as you see, those saying to eat healthy and exercise help America, and don't only save animals, they help humans. The CCF hurts both animals AND hurts human lives. The CCF is a fraud group that 'fights' for your 'right' to 'eat what you want', which is actually that they are getting paid to use that line in order to get you to eat things that can inflict cancer on yourself, your child, and your family, even though the know it can cause human damage. Watch for anyone invoking petakillsanimals, as this is a known anti-american scam site. This group operates over 60+ fake web domains, some of which cheer pregnant american women to eat fish that has been contaminated with mercury and PCB's, even though it can cause your child to be born deformed. Watch for it.

A usual 'addition' clause to an Anecdote is for someone to say "And every one of them that I'VE known" or "Every one of them I KNOW..." or "Every single one I'VE SEEN", etc. This merely means that the person is not familiar with the subject or the population and has no experience on the topic. For example, here's an example of a type of person using false "anecdotes" such as this, to supposedly "prove" a false conclusion: "Well, *I* grew up in IOWA, and where I come from in my small neighborhood, there is not 1 african-american on our junior high school class's Basketball team, and NO ONE I KNOW in my small predominantly caucasion town is black, so therefore that means there are No blacks in the NBA.(ALL FALSE). What this person has done, is to erroneously disregard the entire population, and simply narrow it down, more and more, until the sample size is sufficiently small and weak and not representative of the real situation, but ONLY reflects the tiny element that this person knows. This is an example of fallacious use of "ANECDOTES" which are un-scientific and can be thrown out. Watch for anyone writing the words: "Well...MY FAMILY does this.." or "Well MY grandmother did that" or "Well ALL THE ONES I KNOW are this"... etc. These types of lines can be disregarded and if you see them, it simply means the user is revealing that they are weakly educated on the subject.

HERE'S THE TRUTH:
MORE THAN 99% OF ALL MEAT & STEAK, ESPECIALLY IN THE US & CANADA, ARE DOSED WITH GROWTH HORMONES INCLUDING FEMININE-FORM MAMMALIAN ESTROGEN.
(less than 0.01 of all meat in the US and other countries is without it, and organic. 0.01)

3. GRASS-FED, FREE-RANGE, LOCALLY-RAISED PASTURE RAISED BEEF IS ALSO ESTROGENIC.

Ok, so at this point, we now know that over 99% of all beef, steak, and cattle livestock meat is soaked with Female menstrual hormones, including progesterone and 17-beta-estradiol. But what about the tiny 0.01 of meat which some claim is 'hormone-free', or grassfed beef, or 'organic'---ALL OF THIS IS ALSO ESTROGENIC.

What? But I thought Grass fed beef was hormone-free!=NO. The grassfed labeling rules are established by the FDA. There is NO stipulation whatsoever in that federal rules document stating that it's hormone free. Once again: If you believed that "grassfed" meant "no hormones were used" you are in for a surprise, because that is false. Farmers selling grassfed beef can dope grassfed beef with all manner of hormones, and can still freely label it grassfed beef? Why? Because there is nothing in the labeling that says grassfed may not contain hormones. So a grassfed beef rancher can dose every cow up with estrogen, and as long as they merely fed it grass (forage its called), they can sell it to you as pure grass-fed beef. Surprised? Welcome to the cattle-industry.

This also applies to "pasture raised" steak, "free range" beef, "locally raised" meat, all of it has NO rule that says this cannot contain estrogen. And the majority of it does. This will be a big surprise to most people who *thought* they were eating hormone-free meat by buying 'grassfed' or 'pasture raised' meat. You've actually been ingesting female estrogen all during this time. If you fed it to your son, you've also now been giving your boy doses of estrogen. This has been shown to affect puberty and gonadal development, including abnormal and un-descended testicles. Immature development.

GRASSFED BEEF IS ALSO FOUND ESTROGENIC.

Organic And "hormone-free" Beef Is Also Estrogenic.

4. WHAT ABOUT ORGANIC! HORMONE-FREE! SURELY THAT ISN'T ESTROGENIC!=YES EVEN ORGANIC & "HORMONE-FREE" MEAT IS POTENTIALLY ESTROGENIC.

The ONLY types of meat that are regulated not to contain "added" estradiol, are those labeled "hormone-free" or "organic", but that doesn't mean they aren't estrogenic. It turns out, that ALL meat turns estrogenic when cooked. When you cook meat, especially on a Barbeque, it changes chemically. Obviously you see it change from red meat color to meat that is now "gray" when meat is cooked. Well, when this happens, the animal proteins in meat produce chemicals known as HETEROCYCLIC AMINES (or "HCA's" for short). An example of one of these multiple heterocyclic amines is called "PhIP". Meat when cooked is soaked in "PhiP". PhIP is estrogenic. Therefore, EVEN ORGANIC & HORMONE FREE BEEF, even pasture-raised, free-range, grass-fed, beef is estrogenic to men.

Don't believe it? Look it up for yourself.

TYPE THIS INTO GOOGLE AND GO LOOK: "Troubling Meaty Estrogen"

Open the scientific article from SCIENCE NEWS entitled Troubling Meaty Estrogen. In it you will see that tests now confirm that when meat is cooked, animal protein turns estrogenic.

"1 Nov ... Researchers found that a chemical that forms in overcooked meat, especially charred portions, is a potent mimic of estrogen, the primary female hormone...-SCIENCE NEWS"

It means that everything posted by the user "Bible Belt" despite his claims of everything from hormone free to pasture raised, grass fed, etc is all Estrogenic. As well as any so-called 'hormone-free' meat from any other farm or source. And they've been eating it.

ALL animal protein when cooked, even slightly, produces Heterocyclic Amines, which are a potent female Estrogen mimic. And the more it's cooked the more estrogenic PhIP is produced in steak and meat. Like BBQ? Well, every time you barbeque, you're effeminizing yourself. Love those 'prized' grill-marks?? Those are even more highly concentrated with estrogenic heterocyclic amines. When you barbeque, grill, or cook meat, well done, it produces swarms of heterocyclic amines in highly concentrated form, but even barely cooked meat also has it. It's just that the more you cook it, such as well-done, you have even more. You can't see it. Even on meat that has no grill marks, it's not visible. --oh, and aside from worrying about it being estrogenic, this compound in meat is carcinogenic. It is linked to colo-rectal cancer. In other words, not only is it estrogenic, but a man eating grilled meat may have to explain to all his buddies that he has gotten cancer of his hind-end. Cancer of the rectum. Inside a man's 'seat'.

By the way, no amount of grilling produces heterocyclic amines in grilled vegetables or plants. Thus to the individual who brought up vegetarians, vegetarians would not have this problem. Carcinogenic Estrogenic Heterocyclic Amines are only formed by animal proteins as in beef, steak, and meats. Even chicken, turkey, poultry, and fish when cooked produce these estrogenic substances. (sorry to any of those who believed they were avoiding any of this by following the Paleo fad diet -- even UNPROCESSED, WILD, GAME, FREE-RANGE, GRASS-FED, HORMONE-FREE, ORGANIC, meat is not merely carcinogenic but also contains compounds that are Estrogenic and of the form that are effeminizing to a man.

Please be aware of it.

EVEN ORGANIC & IRONICALLY HORMONE-FREE MEAT IS ESTROGENIC.
