I smoke. One of the worst decisions I ever made. I started only have a few a day. Then eventually I was at a half a pack, now its usually about a pack to a pack and a half per day if I'm stressed. Quit now if you don't smoke that much, because eventually your going to smoke more and more. Then it's really hard to quit.

Not that hard with the patch. I quit using those things. It's easy to quit until step 3 and you are on that little tiny patch. You start out with a huge patch and I didn't even think about smoking the first 2 weeks with that huge patch.

The patch delivers so much nicotine into your blood the thought of a cigarette is disgusting.

Patches and similar do nothing for me. I simply enjoy smoking. I guess it's my cross to bear. And when I smoke too much, I know I've over-done it, and I can feel the effects. I like to smoke a little when I drink whiskey, grill, play golf, etc. I especially like them while driving for work. That's why I ask the question.

Quitting cold turkey seems like I'm depriving myself. Maybe cigars are really the answer but I've never really liked those. I like to inhale.

I'll never smoke a cig and i'll tell you why.

Used to work in a bingo hall, so I inhaled plenty of second hand cig smoke there. Was in school one day feeling anxious, walked out to the smoking area to get some fresh air. Kinda felt odd about it because I felt kinda drawn to the smell of the smoking area. Was outside standing by the ashtray kinda contemplating it's smell and it hit me. I was craving a cigarette!

Cigarettes... not even once.

20 years ago a doctor told my uncle that if he smokes under 10 cigs a day it won't shorten his life. This same uncle was found dead from a heart attack 2 years ago before he was 70.

I can dig this....I'm much more concerned with heart disease than I am actual cancer. It runs in my family.

I know the drill, I have to quit. It just sucks.

Tried that, and the gum, and the E-cig. Also that medication for quitting, those pills gave me tons of energy, but I still kept smoking and I drank on it, not good.

My brother quit with the gum. He lets me smoke in his car, and I'll tell you what I kind of feel like a ****, but he just throws in a piece of regular gum. He started with the nicotine gum, and switched to regular gum, chews the sh!t out of that stuff.

The funny thing is, is I started smoking by stealing his cigs. Any way, I really need to quit. It's an expensive, disgusting habit.

I think this spring I'm going to quit. Winter really fvcks me up.
