Here’s a random question so I’m talking with her today and another girl and another guy. Out of nowhere some guy walks in, she gestured to the other girl I guess to get her attention of his supposed appeal.

He wasn’t an attractive dude. The other guy with us was like “ whatever” and “ you gotta be kidding me”. The other girl she gestured to had no reaction at all. Didn’t even acknowledge it.

The whole thing was random, fast and weird. I ask this as we have flirted before. I was curious if this is a tactic commonly used. Essentially she flirted with a random guy, it seemed illogical.

I do think due to other events she has some interest in me. I was curious if this could be a part of it

Thoughts? like a jealousy thing or to get me to put in more effort with her like to make a move. it seemed contrived it seemed random to me

You're thinking way too much. Just ask her out and you'll see whether she likes you or not

I will I see her all the time so I need to gauge things a bit. But honestly what would you think? she picked this guy out randomly I wonder....he wasn't a handsome guy so it got me suspicious. If he was handoffs then it would be logical.

I wonder if it was a hint, like she single and looking

I mean I guess it could be a jealousy tactic but either way if a girl is single she's always looking, whether she knows it or not.

If you're doing your job of attracting her who cares? Just kino her and flirt and you'll be able to tell if she's interested.

Always assume interest and if you figure out she's not then on to the next one.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

I just mention it as a tactic as i have heard about this before and know that women do do this. The whole thing was weird to me. Like random and out of place but I'll just keep pressing forward as you say. Assume interest yes that the best advice. I know about assuming interest but its hard to internalize I find

If there is one thing common to womankind, it is jealousy and jealousy shyt testing. I cannot think of a single LTR or short term which did not involve at some point some sort of mention of other guys, orbiters, some guy she was dating etc etc.

It's like auto pilot to them. Having said that, I have done it too.

We call it "showing social proof". If it's a woman it's jealousy-game or jealousy shyt testing. Our version is, of course, a grown-up and valid technique :)

I suspect that's what it was like the PUA "jealousy plot line". Or like " look at me I'm on the market looking for men". Its hard to say for sure but the whole event was random & out of place & weird. I also noticed that after that second, no one paid attention to this guy after. if he was that great, I would have seen the girls perhaps fawn over him. It was like he suddenly never existed. I mean he was a random guy that opened a door and walked through. He said nothing scanned his card and went about his business. He was not a good-looking dude at all. I instantly thought that if I wasn't there would she have bothered about him.

I'll still press forward. it has to be shyt testing or close to it. But if she did that I see it as a possible IOI.

She is trying to encourage you to make a move on her.

You see, women don't ask men out; it's socially acceptable for them not to. Women leave crumbs instead, leading men to them. Much like hide and seek, women play games to get what they want (for many things mind you, not just a partner)

and it goes so.

1) Man meets woman
2)Man interested in woman; woman interested in man.
3)Man not sure if woman likes man
4) woman likes man; shows signs of interest to man
5) Man has epiphany, thinks woman likes man
6) Man asks woman on date

If you go on Amazon right now for something you really wanted or needed, and that item says (1) Left in stock, wouldn't that encourage you to check out immediately? It's called urgency.

Women like to use urgency to encourage men do, well a multitude of things. If you see that other men are interested in her, would that not make you more inclined to make a move? If I don't make a move soon, I am going to lose out and get nothing". I understand that people will say that this is just jealousy, which is true, however, jealousy is just a means to an end. Women use jealousy to invoke urgency in you.
