Yes that's true it does seem that you care -- they love the attention!!

A man's duty is to "put a woman in her place" if she doesn't go with the man's goals and objectives in life -- SHE is the MAN"S "help meet" -- and he is NOT her helper!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So don't do the dishes -- don't iron -- don't cook etc............ these are her duties -- as a man your work shoould be grandiose and imperative!!!!
