Is self-confidence when you really don't give a **** about what people think of you? Cuz I'm pretty sure it is just I'm not convinced.

No, self-confidence is when you KNOW people will think you are awesome.

Its not about what others think of you but what you think of yourself, if you think your cool then your cool, doesnt matter what they think of you, if they feel good about your presence then they will get along with you if not it doesnt matter you cant please everyone, and your a fool if you try to.

People only feel good in my presence if I'm EXTREMELY relaxed, and this is as rare as a lunar eclipse. (by the way am I the only ***** in this message board or do a lot of you guys have the same problems as I do, if you do then just be open about it, its just the internet)

I've tried many things to think of myself more highly, and to no avail, and also try to make others feel comfortable, but that's hard if I'm not comfortable to begin with. Usually a cigarette helps me... caffeine helps me be more social too. I feel like I need coffee or cigarettes because in my normal state of mind I'm higly insecure and nervous.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.
