hello guys, I am currently studying in the university and I get lot of free time on the side so how about dance classes?

The place I'm interested in teaches indian fusion dance with hiphop and jazz dance? Is this a good option? Teacher said around 90% students are girls, so will I get swallowedup? My friend already freaked out when I told him about this, is it really that bad?

I really need to feel comfortable around girls and I see this as good in two ways 1) I can learn to dance 2) get to meet new people..

Is this bad idea?

No, sounds great. What's wrong with it?

Unless it's a dance only girls do...!

Do it.

I regret not having done alot of good things in college. Join the dance class, for one, girls love guys who can dance well.

If 90% of the class consists of women, you have a great place to also practice your game . . .

yes, definately, go do it. I take part in Salsa some weekends and the amount of women you meet and dance with makes it all worth it, and the fact that the man has to lead, essentially be the 'alpha' male gives you good practise! if you have nothing better to do, worth a try, if you dont do it, you wont know!

it turned out

I was the only guy joinning the dance team, I just watched today as it was their last class for this semester, around 8 girls are in the group, this is not like salsa its individual dance, and most of their boyfriend showedup as it was open house,
but I still got to talk with one indian girl, so do you guys think its worth it?

It costs $130 for 8 classes, 1 hour and 30 minute per class, I don't mind about the money but do you guys think it would still improve my conversation thing with girls?

but doesn't

salsa, tango and other stuff require partner? if not I might try it out, but still how likely is it that they accept singles?

Dance classes are usually a good idea. Females almost always outnumber men (often by a big margin), and you get to improve your talents, socialize, etc.

I'm surprised you can't find a better deal than that, tho. If you look on the internet, you can possibly find some local dance clubs/groups that offer free lessons. (At my college, it's possible for students to sign up for dance as a p.e. credit, which is free.)

Also, I'd probably recommend either salsa or swing dancing over that Indian stuff. But if you want to, go for it.

yes, salsa requires a partner, as I said in a previous thread, you have to dance with a female ;o) so your be forced to practice your convo with women, I'm actually really enjoying it now, learning some goods moves, it makes you slightly different to the rest of the men out there, people seem shocked that I dance salsa lol

give it a try, it's good fun!

Well guys after

Are you interested in Indian dancing? Is it something that you would want to do???

Don't do it for the sake of girls being there, if its something that you don't want to do in your heart, don't. Do something that you love doing.

You can meet girls ANYWHERE.

Sarge On...

some thought I have decided to look elsewhere, I already have calender marked for next semester I'm joinning university salsa dance program I think there will be boys there along with girls offcourse, I'm also joinning Badminton club, maybe even learninng to skate, so ya creativity is growing and my desire to do something will be fullfilled once I'm done with my exams..

Its hard thinking about girls and exams at the same time, double stress and no gain!!

Thanks a lot for lot of positive posts...
