Is it possible to be a serious PUA while living with parents?

Manosphere YouTube philosopher Aaron Clarey makes a very good case as to why a man could fully fund his retirement by simply living with his parents and socking away what would be rent.

my opinion: I suppose that since a woman is going to sex a man if she wants him physically, it doesn't matter that he is not showing signs of provisioning ability by having his own place. Maybe it's OVER for BachelorPadCels?

In the early 2010s, legendary former PUA Roosh wrote an article about being unemployed, living in his dad's basement as a male in his early 30s, and getting laid. Roosh's article about getting laid while unemployed seemed easy in principle but difficult to execute in practice.

There are plenty of men who have their own places who aren't getting laid.

It is easier to get laid if you don't live with your parents. Having your own space is helpful.

I had to move in with my parents during the ‘08 economic meltdown/cluster fukc. I was totally unprepared for it and got laid off without eligibility for unemployment even though I was with the company 8+ years.

Oddly enough, I was able to hook up with and date a past acquaintance from my social circle. She moved to town and needed company. I stayed at her place most nights and banged her and ate her food.

It lasted about a year. After it ended, work was still difficult to find and I was back with my parents.

Around this time OLD was taking off and I started getting dates. It was super awkward answering the what do you do question. I was not able to reproduce the situation I had with my social circle plate.

If anyone is in this situation, just lie. Make up some bs story about your job and try to persuade her to bang at her place.

Roosh said not to lie about being unemployed and that will help you get laid. I have been unemployed twice since that article was released in 2011. Being unemployed was a drag on my woman life. I'm glad to be employed right now. Employment helps with getting vagina.

As for living with your parents, it depends upon your parents and how old you are. Roosh had a stint living in his dad's basement in his early 30s. I'm almost 40. If I were living with a parent in my late 30s/early 40s, that would not impress any women.

Only normie tier guys have that problem. If you are sub-5 or Chad/Chad-tier than you'll get great or lousy results regardless.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

relative, I never bring woman home, its alwyas motels or her place.

where you live matters little, hell I know a guy woman was so cheap he would find a dark isolated place and would do it in his car, (with is a place I don't want to do, too small and then I will have to clean the car again later) and he could pull a lot, he only though about getting a place when I sold him the idea since he don't really care if woman know where he lives or not

I'm living at home, unfortunately, and my parents leave the house very messy and are constantly home so I don't have the luxury of EVER bringing somebody here.

Still, if I look at things statistically I moved back in 4 years ago, and in that time I've increased my body count by 25 I think, including dating a rather crazy and beautiful ex-girlfriend for 9 months out of that.

I don't know if you just like posting articles for conversation or if you ACTUALLY care about the responses you get but that's been my experience.

When I got out of ironwood correctional here in cali back in 2015 I layed low in my divorced mom's house for about 4 years.(i think it's much easier bringing girls over with just mom instead of both parents)
I would just be honest and tell girls that I got out of prison and I was reincorporating back into society. I would just sneak them into my room late at night or rent a $60 clean motel.
I still had my side hustles to cover that.
Now at age 32 living in my own home it's definitely a game changer. Women tend to respect you more for having your own pad and you have more free will.
Just being able to be in the living room bumping loud music smoking a joint then messing with her on the couch then teasing her while getting to your room since it's your realm type of sh!t not worrying about mom waking up or whatever.

But if you with your folks then I recommend motels or her place. Just feels off smashing the brains out of a chick with your mom sleeping in the next room

I was trying to get in contact with Roosh when he did his across the country pilgrimage.
He pulled up to my city of Chula Vista in southern San Diego, Ca. He stayed in a nearby motel.
I would have shot him a drink and talk about life 101. Im a disciple of the rooshv forum and return of kings. The boys over there were with the business.

Went ahead and read this. I don't think it would work nearly as well nowadays. It might, I do semi-well living at my parent's house but I do NOT EVER bring girls back here.

What's the difference between now and the early 2010s when Roosh wrote that article? I think he wrote it just before Tinder launched in 2012. Online dating websites were commonly used then, but more pickup was likely done at bars. Daygame now is pretty similar to daygame then.

A lot depends on a man's parents. I could not have a decent sex life living at home with my parents, so I've had my own apartments. Some men have parents that are permissive enough and it works.

A lot of men who live at home with their parents have shame issues surrounding their state. If a man has a bachelor's degree or higher and is attempting to date women with a bachelor's degree or higher while living at home, it won't work out too well. These women will be too demanding but if he's good looking enough and his parents are permissive enough, he might be able to get some short term sex out of it.

It depends on how often you are using motels for sex. Sometimes motel costs for sex are nearly as much as a studio apartment or one bedroom place if you're staying in motels regularly enough. Some motels are quite seedy, even the chain motels like Motel 6, Econo Lodge, or Red Roof Inn. There are still some independent seedy motels that are even seedier than the lower cost chain properties like the ones I mentioned.

Roosh article about living with your parents until you get married is his method of coping. Dude is ~45yo living with his mom.

Having your own place to bring girls is essential. Worst case scenario you can find a roommate to share a place but living with your parents is sad unless you're a teenager.

When Roosh wrote that article, he was early 30s and living in his dad's basement in between world travels.

Roosh didn't have a worldview transformation until he was 38-39 and his sister died of breast cancer. Right now, he is 43, living with his mom, and not pursuing casual sex or any sort of pre-marital sex as a devout Orthodox Christian guy. It's a complete 180 from being a Pickup Artist.

That has been my experience in the mating environment. Even in some cities today, having a roommate in your 30s is a bit of a stigma. Having a male roommate in your 30s is still better than living with your parents in your 30s.

Dude a TON has changed.

Tinder and the rest of the dating apps gave ALL women a massively inflated ego by getting a match every time they swipe right - even ugly ones (usually because dudes just swipe right on everybody and sort matches later).

Instagram became way more popular along with TikTok and really globalized the sexual marketplace.

And then OnlyFans came and showed how many men in this world are simps willing to make attractive women overnight millionaires by sheer virtue of them existing (Danielle Bregoli made $1million on it the DAY she turned 18) while doing nothing about hypergamy.

So now if you have an attractive woman...who knows she's hot because she has DMs from guys all over the world trying to fly her out...can make millions at a whim by posting bikini pictures on OF...and will never swipe right on a dating app and NOT match with a guy...why would these women ever go home with a guy living at his parent's house.

Before Tinder launched, women were on OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, and Match and getting their inboxes blown up. Women who were using dating websites in the late 2000s/early 2010s had massively inflated egos too. The main difference with Tinder and the rest of the dating apps is that more women started to use tech means for arranging dates. Dating websites, even after their mid-2000s de-stigmatization, never got adopted by as large of a percentage of the population as swipe apps have since 2012-13.

Men on dating websites were having lousy experiences in 2009-2012.

Instagram became way more popular along with TikTok and really globalized the sexual marketplace.
Instagram launched in October 2010. It was in its infancy when Roosh wrote that article. However, Facebook had blown up by 2010-11 and men were DMing on Facebook in the late 2000s/early 2010s looking for dates. I don't think the Facebook DM'ers from circa 2010 were as aggressive as the Instagram DM'ers in terms of flying out women.

And then OnlyFans came and showed how many men in this world are simps willing to make attractive women overnight millionaires by sheer virtue of them existing (Danielle Bregoli made $1million on it the DAY she turned 18) while doing nothing about hypergamy.
OnlyFans is newer. In the early 2010s, guys were whacking off like crazy on PornHub and other tube sites. It's not much different than guys whacking off on OnlyFans now. Guys whacking off on tube sites in the early 2010s were thirsty too.

I do no porn and nofap.

That's a strong point.

You need your own place, it's not even a discussion.

didn't watch the video. logistically, having your own place makes a difference, because chances are the girl doesn't want you at her place and cars and hotels are inconvenient. but, just like everything else, it becomes a problem only if you make it a problem. if you are being weird "i live with my parents" [deer in headlight] she will think it's a problem. girls are followers, they don't know what to think until you tell them what to think.
