I've heard it somewhere if the rockefellors, rothschilds, imf, and the world bank were to not exist or let go of their power of control.

Every single person in America if not every person in the world would have atleast 3-5 million dollars in cash.

True or Not, I forgive all of them anyway.

It'd be like that scene from "Bruce Almighty" where EVERYBODY one the lotto, and then got pissed when they found out there share was only two or three dollars apiece.

Interesting thread fellas

To taiyuu_otoko:
I don't see how free market can run concurrent with a guaranteed salary range... Where is the incentive to work? How would the young buy things off minimum wage? By the time the accquire more money they are used to living without so a can't see a free market thriving in this type of enviroment.

Also, what of the kid who is told he gets paid next to nothing regardless of his work input because he is young? During those youthful years where everything gets questioned I can't see much time before a revolution or uprising occurs

To erivera571:
Concerning your rent analogy. I don't think that has to do with rich or poor as much as you think. They are not indirectly working for you, they are working to continue to use a service you possess. That is capitalism. You say the money they give you allows you to have free time, but the service you give them allows them to have a place to stay, raise a family etc etc. The question is if what I do seems so valueless and lazy, then why do people pay good money for it?

I think to say the rich live off the poor is to oversimplify it. The rich do less because the more money you have the less you need to do, thats how capitalism works. If you work 60 hour weeks just to make enough to pay your rent and you get declined for a loan when you try and get a house while I put $500,000 in the bank and live comfortably on compound interest, c'est la vie.

It's not what you can do but what your money can do.

I hate the terms "the poor" and "the rich" as if they are just homogeneous entities that always have stayed the same. Many people have gone from poverty to riches, and many people have also gone from riches into poverty.

There isn't a fixed amount of wealth in the world that "the rich" have a control over. Wealth can be both created and destroyed. It is created when someone does something that adds value for someone else, like writing a computer program to increase productivity, or finding a cure to a disease so people can live easier.

Some people are born into poverty, unfortunately. Other people put themselves into poverty, or keep themselves in poverty, through laziness and stupidity. Look, I might feel bad for the guy taking my order at McDonalds, but I don't want him to handle my investments, give me a checkup when I'm sick, advise me on politics if I was a leader of some sort, and so on...and THAT is why he does not earn as much as a skilled profession. If you have developed a good set of skills and you put them to use, you might not become super rich, but it will be quite hard for you to stay in poverty.

If they did, it would have been a colossal waste of money on their part. Society would have been better off if they left it in the bank, so that the bank could loan it out to people who could make good use of it, than giving it to every junkie and freeloader that they could get their hands on.

I think the answer is yes, but not without some Robin hood type action. In the United States there are 859 billionaires (Wikipedia)

Nobody needs a billion dollars to live. The money is just going to waste. Of course there will be nothing done to help the poor and the gap will continue to grow.

I value rich in a few ways..

-Free time. a villager in laos who has afternoons and weekends free to do whatever he wants is richer than an american, working 80 hours a week, with no control over his/her life.

-Control over your mind. If you're just a cog in a machine, with no control over your own thoughts or actions, are you really rich? If you cant think beyond what the media or society tells you, you arent rich IMO.

-Monetarily...assets over debt. If Visa takes away your credit line...you're not rich.

Its possible for everyone to do better as a society and rise up. Look at America from 1900 to 2000, everyone got rich and rose up.

If we were to distribute all of the wealth evenly amongst the population, in 5 years it would be RIGHT BACK where it started.

The "poor" don't need more money, they need to learn how to better USE money. A bandaid isn't going to stop you from bleeding to death when you get your jugular vein slashed.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Always love it when people tell me I don't "deserve" or "need" that much money. I spent 8 years in school and have 6 figure levels of debt from it; I still have to spend another 4 years as a hospital slave making below minumum wage (when you compare time working to income) to get in a position where I'll be making 6 figures a year.

What have these asses done to make that much? What have they done to deserve that level of income?

Nothing.

They want the benefits without having to pay the dues. They're a bunch of self-entitled parasites, thieves, and losers.
