It really depends. It depends on a lot of things. If she starts it I think you would feel obligated to say it too. Love can mean a lot of things. Love doesn't have to mean you will marry this girl. I love my friends a lot. They are great people. I suppose that means it is ok to say you "love" your girlfriend.

Any other opinions on this. Let's hope this doesn't just become a macho list of "Hell no!"s. lol

Yeah I understand. My girlfriend told me she loves me and I wasn't sure. Thing is though, when you just randomly say it, it becomes meaningless anyway. Also, you will just hurt her feelings alot if you say it but then dump her the next week or something.

Depends on the time.

If you've been going out for more than 2 years and you are actually in love, then yes, but before than its hard to say. Je ne sais pas...

I just use the L word as tool just like most other things.

One of the chicks i'm currently seeing says it to me all the time. 95% percent of the time i just look at her with a little smirk and say something like " oh, thanks"

At this point, she damn near tries to force me to say it, but I hold my own and come up with evasive excuses.

Anyway, when I do say it, it's to get some, and since hardly ever say it, it's like something special to them.

I don't say it every time. Only when it's needed.

Not in high school...You're too young to die!!!

j/k, but you might want to think about what you think love is. If its a mixture of the thing you feel for a good dog and a raging side of hormones screaming to explore every curvature of her body with your tongue...(which has its own merits to be sure)

Perhaps you should hold off a bit.

Don't tell her that you love her! especially if it's at the high school era of your life.....just check around you, you'll see that over the years you just sat and watch your male and female peers mingle and go out and what not while you just sort of sit back and watch and sometimes wishing that was you in that guy's spot hugging and kissing that girl, but the truth is you should use it to your advantage. How many of those relationships have you seen last more than a year? maybe one or two and that's it...It goes to show you that even though we think we love her...WE REALLY DON'T AND ARE JUST INFATUATED.

And plus, you've got other women to seduce..

i really do think that hs is a bit early to use the word love like this, but i say that if you'd been dating her for quite a while AND she says it first, then it's usually 'aight.
