I was talking to my gf tonight, and she ws telling me about an activism conference she'll be attending over winter break. It's in a hotel, and she's not 21, and she asked me "Is it ok if I flirt with people so they'll buy be drinks? As long as nothing happens?"

I'm not sure why she asked me; but the fact that she did is encouraging, I guess.

Anyway, what do the rest of you think?

You`re kidding right? Your girl`s going to a conference and wants to drink (being underage) by enticing guys to buy her drinks and then tries to qualify it by saying, "As long as nothing happens?" And then she`s asking for your permission to do it?! Mmmm, sounds like she wants to not take responsibility and get blamed for doing something that she would otherwise.

There`s nothing encouraging about it. Are you going to be there at this conference? No? It seems to me that she`s telegraphing that she wants something to happen. "Oh sorry honey, I guess I had one too many and I don`t know/remember what happened".

Do you really want to hear that from her?

Also, how honest and trustworthy could she be if she wants to scam drinks off of other guys. Come on young bro. Something`s off here.

as to your question, you are setting yourself up for problems with other guys getting her attention. This will test your trust, but it is the wrong type of test to do.
