My ex gf thinks goatee isn't sexy, she prefer guys clean shaven. Mystery also thinks guys should be clean shaven. I have a goatee now and I like it. Not gonna shave it for a girl but wonder if most girls think goatee are sexy or not.

i had that once. I perfer a full beard (1/8 long), or at leas couple of days worth. I'd love to have a big, thick mustche but i have enough trouble looking younger i don't need any more....
this reminds me of something...i use to have spiked hair than i shave my head for awhile.
When my hair grew back into the spikes some girl i was talking to was like....you looked so bad with a shaved head. I was like really? The next day she saw me, my head was shaved again. I did it to let her know that I couldnt give a sh*t what she thinks about it.
I did it because I liked it and plus spikes are played out, everyone has spikes...so if you want a goatee than get one. Dont worry if girls will like it or not. I say get it and keep it for a little while and see the results. If you dont get any dates or anything shave it off.

I think that like most other things, it's overdone. For a select few it distingushes themselves from others. Sorta like the guys who shave their heads, but really shouldn't.
Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Having a shaved head rocks, i love having it. I usually have my head shave about 6 months out of the year, the other 6 month time its usually spiked once it grows in. It takes about two months to grow to spikes. while it grows in i usually get tape ups which looks pretty cool.

If you read my post carefully, I don't shave my goatee for any girl. It is something that suits my style. But after talking to my ex and she mentioned it, I was a little curious what the general perception are for goatee. I agree with you in some respects when men are obsessive with their looks (metrosexual for example), it is pathetic. But on some reasonable level, guys should try to look good with a style that they like.
The thing about goatees or facial hair in general is a personal preference. Some girls like it, and some girls dont.
As for the major reason why girls dont like it, they complain about it because the hair pokes at them when they kiss.
Well if you can pull it off then good. Facial hair adds age.
