Damn. Two of my friends have told me they've cried infront of their girls over some bullchit. The first one confronted his girl because he found out she was cheating and he told me he cried. I was being supportive and didnt call him out but inside i was like wtf, this fool is a btich. Then my other homie just called me saying he got into an argument with his girl because she was lying to him and that hes been nothing but supportive to her and even gives her money to help her out. Anyway he said he cried infront of her because he was hurt shes not reciprocating and what not. Again, I didnt call him out because he was clearly hurt but i was like wtf is it with these dudes crying infront of women? Then I remembered one of my plates telling me a story of when her bf cried too and she was doing everything possible not to burst out laughing infront of him. I told her i had no idea guys actually cried to girls but apparently its a thing. Im 37 and have never even came close to crying for a girl. Like not even 5%. I bet some if not most of you guys have cried and im just tripping on this rn because i cant ever imagine being so hurt by a girl to cry, let alone infront of her. Damn is all i gots to say.

STELLA!!! is all I gots to say.

It's been a thing for a while. Some dudes can get away with it if you're alpha outside of your outbursts.

Wahmen will instantly lose all respect for you. It's just how it is and self deating because now you are not the solid rock anymore and you are displaying female behaviour. They want the masculine rock that doesn't move. That's what they seek and trust.

Cry to your bestmale buddy if you want/really need too, but never in-front of a girl.

Sound pretty fvcking sad or even pathetic, but this comes not surprisingly with all the snowflakes out there.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

It all depends on what you are showing emotion about.... and you don't go overboard. A man that is always whining and crying about stupid bvllsh1t, yeah chicks don't like that.

If you shed a few tears when the dog you had for 15 years died, well that is fvcking expected, and if you don't... she'll think you are a sociopath. But you are also expected to get over sh1t quick and not let depression shut you down.

It is important to show emotion now and then, otherwise she will not be able to connect with you, anymore than she could connect with a toaster.

This is completely dependent on the circumstances. There are times that having some tears flow in front of your woman is not a big deal - death of a loved one, other similar terrible news on health, etc. Crying because she cheated or other bad behavior from the woman probably not the best though. The examples you gave are not instances where crying is going to do anything positive for the man.

They are ruthless animals that smell any sign of weakness and are repulsed from it...not their fault nature made them like that and evolution reinforced it.

Just like you're turned on from a tight body, long hair and firm b00bs, they are turned off from such displays.

Agreed...I cried like a baby in front of the woman I was dating when my Mom was dying and she loved me more for it because I was being a normal human being. At the end of the day allowing yourself to be vulnerable is the only way to deepen connections and bonds between people. If all you are willing to do is have surface level connections with people then you can't wonder why things fizzle out after a few months or a year. Either relationships become stronger and deeper or the become weaker and more shallow over time.

This macho front people have where they feel they can't be a human is pretty laughable to me.
Women want to date men, not robots.

There is a time and place for emotion to come into play.

Now I am not saying that you can go cry about every little thing like if your boss was mean to you then you come home and cry about it, but for major things, it's OK to not be a robot...really. I promise she won't think less of you...she will actually think more of you.

If you have a man bun, skinny jeans with a rainbow T-shirt, then it is ok and expected often.

Otherwise, If you must get it out. Then excuse yourself to the bathroom (lock) the door because they will try to get in. You will be interrupted tap-tap-tap are you ok. "yes I'm fine I just need a minute" If your outdoors, walk away turn your back, get it out. That's my man code anyway !

Pretty much everything that needed to be said has been said.

Men do feel and should express emotion. When I refer to toxic masculinity, a big part of that is the idiotic concept that boys don't cry and to man up. A strong man is confident in his masculinity enough to reflect his humanity.

With that said, a strong man also keeps his emotions in check. Crying is natural when it comes to strong emotion, loss, grief, deep disappointment, etc. But crying because you are watching the sunset well I mean, better hit that 666 in your remote control and ask for another wish.

I think it’s healthy to cry if that’s the appropriate emotion. I was raised by my dad and uncles who were all raised in a very poor area. You didn’t show any weakness... throughout my life there were definitely things I should have cried over. In high school 3 of my friends were killed in a car crash... I was in shock for weeks and got sick physically ill before their funerals but I didn’t cry.

My mon dying of stage 4 cancer..... these are times you need to let it out... otherwise you will have issues. I get insane bouts of anger at times my blood pressure spikes thru the roof. I am certain it’s from repressing certain emotions.

seriously tho... you should not cry in the hopes of getting laid

If you're crying pitifully because of something she did, it's over.

If you have a couple silent tears over something genuinely emotional/moving? I don't see the issue. One girl recently even told me she falls in love with men who can cry (but who knows who true that is).

Those females will never respect their man ever again, if they haven't lost all respect already.

The problems isn't that.

The problem is that girls instantly lose respect for you when you show them your emotions. So you cannot really be let' say "emotionally honest" to them.

I could wish it was like that (because it would just be easier too etc.), and then that you really loved you for the person you are (e.g. non conditional love), but that is not how it works. Women love conditional, that's it. That is what they feel for you, right now and what you do for them right now.

We men are destined to walk the lonely road of life; sadly but true. You are way better of crying in-front of you parents, sibling or a very close buddy. We all cry sometimes, but as guy you just cannot do it anywhere and everywhere like girls do.

The basic problem is that women has no understanding or sympathy for men's emotion or what it is to be a man. Call it toxic femininity if you will... Women do not give a shiete about your male feelings. They might lie to you and say that you want men to do it, but watch their actions and you will see they lie to you because they really do not want that.

Being emotional is as we all know a female feminine trait. If a guy behaves in a feminine way then both women and society condemns it as we're expected to be "The masculine rock" at all times.

For what its worth:

You have to differentiate grief, sadness, tears of emotion from fealings based on fear + sadness = despair/feeling of helplessness
Former is fine. Latter reveals a pessimistic mindset, depression, inability, helplessness... This is unattractive and is a weakness that better remains hidden. At least to all of those people who you do not trust. I don't know if it's good to hide it from a GF in the long run.
