My girl asked me today..

how come you never ask me questions likes
"Baby do you love me?"
"can i really trust you?"
or"will you ever hurt me?"

she says her friends boyfriends all ask them these type of questions.
but i dont.
and her friends think.
1. i like her SO much that i already believe these things are true so dont ask,
2. im playing her and so i dont care as long as i get the A55
3. im too scared to ask, so i dont trust her

i think she personally things it 2.

ive dodged the question earlier today with the
"im at work sweetheart i cant talk about this now, lets talk about this later tonight k.."
she said she'll bring it up tonight, so i know she will.

Whatever you do, DON'T ask those questions. They're probably the neediest, most AFC things I've ever heard.

she's wondering why you're not a needy AFC, and she doesn't want you to be that (whether she admits it or not), so just make a joke out of it (C+F) and keep her guessing.

Had something similar before.

I told her yup that'd be right, coz they're boys, but you're dating a man, luv.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Keep in mind that she may be feeling insesure that your so confident about the relationship. Its possible to overdue the macho-man "I dont need you attitude."

what may be going through her head is:
"he never asks me those questions, does he even care about me?"
hense she feels insecure.

Make sure you show her that you care.

I think you're getting too serious with that response. You just need to come up with witty remark and just sidestep it.

Lets think of some better responses.

Her: Why don't you ask me all these afc questions like my friends boyfriends??

You: Honey if you need someone to ask those questions maybe you should hang with your girls boyfriends.

You: Do you want me to do everything you're friends boyfriends do?

You: Lets go get some food i'm starving!

You: You're such a cutie ;-) *hug*

You don't need to answer this question and I think if you do it will just cause problems. If you give her a serious response, no matter what it is, she's just gonna start asking follow-up questions.

I personally sidestep any relationship type question girls ask me. I guess I sidestep most questions girls ask me.

I agree that it's too serious but why sidestep it? Wouldn't the guys she's use to do something like that? I'd just say "Why would I need to worry about such things?" It's confident and straight forward.

Tell her that your happyness dont depend on the answer of those questions.
It sucks when girls compare us to some AFCs and think we should behave like an AFC sometimes... can anybody explain why they do that?
Is this a test or something?
