Is 40 minutes in shower normal?

Man I just realized my shower lasted 40 something minutes. I mean the whole thing, poo, shower, no shave today. And I don't have my own shower, we share here, 5 people plus me on one shower. The other night my neighbor was waiting for me outside shower, usually we say hi, but this time it was different, like I've done something wrong - and I didn't do squad to him wrong, I installed him a game and cleaned up his computer. I noticed those guys use shower max for 10 minutes. I don't even know how that possible. Not like I have a lot to do, just shower, wash face, shampoo head, wash ears and arm pits, soap up torso and back, then legs, then wash my ass and balls, then rub feet good. You know I just can't picture why am I so long in shower, and then if I am that long there, then how could all those people do all those things in like five or 10 minutes.

If, that's how long of a shower you want to take and you pay your fair share...Fvck em'...If you want to be a little more considerate I have a hard time believing you can't get fully clean in under 40 minutes.

I can in 10 minutes easy. Do you work on an oil rig and get extremley dirty or some sh1t?

It's not that I'm dirty, not at all, I just do things I think I should be doing in the shower, and it takes me that long. While I'm in the shower though, I don't notice time at all. It just it happened today I noticed time I left and time I came back.

same for me bro. ur just enjoying it, and youre probably a perfectionist - you do something, you do it well. a lot of guys take washing and scrubbing half assedly, dont rinse themselves fully etc. especially the nutsack area.

Holy hell. I'm in and out in 5 minutes. Got ADD so standing around in a shower for too long just annoys the hell out of me. Get in, get clean and get out.

I let my buddy stay with me and his girlfriend practically visits a lot. She easily spends an hour in there. I use to take long showers as well but now I'm done within 5 minutes max. Sometimes when I get ready for the club it may take me long but I'm out the bathroom within 30 max

I think the shower by itself takes me 8 - 15 mins. Although my usual morning routine includes offloading my burden, brushing, showering, the occasional shave and then apply lotion and deodorant afterwards. Combined I try to get all this done in 30 mins but I find myself when I'm done gasping in my mind "did I spend that long in there?" but then again I live alone so this is mostly my problem. I've noticed though that taking a shower can sometimes feel really good and you lose track of time. Since you live with others and considering they might have to get ready in the morning or use the rest room for more urgent purposes you should try to spend about 20 mins in there.

I take long showers, like 25 min + showers. I just stand there letting the water fall on me too long.

Every time I say to myself that I will take a quick shower I fail. It's just too relaxing.

I take long showers in winter but try not to, because my skin gets super dry and I get acne on my back

Me too, I also easily spend 30 mins in the shower and can't imagine how others can finish in 10 minutes.

They must be skipping a few steps!

I think that you are doing a bit wrong.Excess of everything is bad.Too much time in bath may leads you to some sort of skin problems.It is advisable to have a bath of 15-20 minutes.

Im at a healthy average here i probably spend 15 minutes mostly.

I have 3 stages in order - soap body, face, then shampoo.

If i'm going all out long shower thing, i like to turn up the heat and stand in as long as i can bear, until when i come out feels like i'm about to pass out. Great relaxation.
