I'm an introvert and have been married twice and both were extroverts. I think it's the dynamic between the 2 people that matters most. If the extroverted partner does not accept the nature of the introverted partner (or vice versa) trouble is bound to happen.
Boom, davewe nailed it.

I'm an introvert and my wife in in the middle somewhere. I knew long ago I could never marry an extrovert because they couldn't 'get' it.

I have better social skills than most too. I just draw my energy from being alone, and it drains me to be around people too much.

For some in here....Introvert doesn't mean shy. I can be quite loud and be the center of attention, enjoy it for a short while, and then just want to go home and watch tv alone. It doesn't take much to get my social fill.
Another good post. Most people have no clue at all what being introverted actually means.

I always lumped introversion with being unpopular.
If a guy walks into a situation and gets all kinds of attention, makes new friends quickly gets invited out alot etc...he becomes more outgoing.

Versus the guy no one wants to chat up or even be seen around who will eventually go home alone and never get a phone call unless somebody needs a favor. hence the introvert
