That's not what I said. That's what you wanna hear for the sake of an argument. I never said that it applies to EVERY white girl who is in an LTR with a black guy. I said it applies to a lot. Although things are slowly changing, a lot of non black girls will still not date a black guy no matter what the guy has going for him or regardless of how much they like him because of pressure from family and society. And they still outnumber those who don't care what society thinks. Society still has a long way to go. That's just the reality of it man. Don't kill the messenger.

I'm not black but I do have a darker complexion. There is some taboo for interracial dating in general, but black men have it the worst by far I have to say.

I used to hook up with a girl who was part native American (but looked completely white). She hooked up with/ dated several "brown" people. She even had an Indian boyfriend who she dated for a long time. But she said she'd NEVER get with a black guy and that her parents would never accept it. I found that rather strange considering she's of mixed blood herself.

The thing is, black men are considered more threatening. And unfortunately, it's not just by white people. In general, people from many communities have the prejudiced impression that most black men are dangerous. They might get along just fine with black people, but they'd never accept their daughters dating a black man!

Asian, Persian, Indian and Jewish men might be frowned upon by some racist people, but they are at least stereotyped as being hard-working, good at making money and non-threatening. So they are easier to accept.

If you're looking for a non-racist chick, probably the easiest way to screen would be to find a very politically liberal chick. If she's involved in all kinds of activist causes (e.g. the environment, helping earthquake victims, breast cancer awareness etc.), chances are, she isn't going to be racist at all. Heck, dating a black guy would reinforce her "liberal credentials."

Down South, I've had some white girls tell me very bluntly that they don't date outside their race, which is fine. But I never got told that by girls from the Northeast or from Canada where people tend to be politically more liberal.

Just curious here, but why is that? Do you just put less value on kids being 100% black so you feel that "diluting" them would be an upgrade? I mean a kid is a kid, whether he's black, white or mixed. Thing is I don't hear whites talking about wanting mixed kids.

None of this is surprising. Despite Americans believing we are now a "post-racial nation" because we have a black family in the white house, Americans(and not only whites) in their personal attitudes are profoundly racist, particularly towards blacks. You will only discover it in a moment of honesty. Most people are very good at hiding it and presenting a politically correct face in polite company. Black people are viewed as being mostly ghetto and a permanent underclass, even though most of us don't live in the ghetto and more of us are middle class. Blacks are to America what the Dalit class is to India. Blacks(as a whole) are simply not respected by other races. Sure, they may carve out an exception for one black guy they think is nonthreatening sometimes and invite him into their social circles, but in their mind he's just an exception and that has no bearing on how they feel toward the group.

You having a personal preference about who you date is different. You don't like what you don't like.

If your parents come along and say "I don't want to see Danger dating an Asian girl." Then yeah that's racist. Because it has nothing to do with your tastes, it just involves your parent's prejudices.

Like, me. I'm not particularly attracted to Asian chicks. It doesn't mean I hate them...it just means they don't really turn me on. I can't control that.

So yeah, if someone calls a white girl "racist" because she's not turned on by a black dude, then that's just stupid. She has a right to be attracted / unattracted to whomever she chooses.

But when you have some girl's family judging you as a man before you walk in the door, then it would be correct to call them prejudiced. They have judged you prior to knowing you...pre-judged. Certainly, there is racism amongst all groups. The reason white racism gets the most attention in America is because whites are the majority and have the most power. If we were living in Japan or China, we'd mainly be talking about Asian racism. Or in Zimbabwe, we'd be talking about black racism. If we were in Israel, we'd be talking about racism of Israelis more than Palestinians because Israelis are the most powerful and influential of the two.

That's the difference. And even if all blacks or Asians were racist against whites in America, it really wouldn't make any difference to the life of the average white. Non-whites have never had the power in America to oppress white people.

Another thing the other poster said about black families rejecting IR dating. I think it is much less rejected amongst blacks than whites. For example, a half black/half white kid will be accepted by the black family with no problem. Even though the kid is half white, whites will consider him black and never accept him as white. Yet blacks will accept him as black, for example, Barack Obama. So I think blacks in general are much more open-minded and accepting about race than whites. My sister has a white boyfriend and has a kid by him. My parents don't have any problems with his race or having a half white grand daughter. We're pissed that she had a kid outside marriage, but that's a separate issue from race. Not all black families are racist against IR couples. Most the time when blacks are against it, it's usually black women who hate seeing black men date white women. But even then it's not really racism, it's feeling like they are being left with fewer partners. It's no different than Asian guys who get frustrated with all the Asian women dating white men. Some black men don't like when they see a white man with an attractive black woman, but I think all guys are like that. If I was walking down the street with a hot blonde, white guys would be giving me dirty looks. Of a hot Latin woman, then Latino guys would be giving me angry stares. If the woman was fat and ugly, none of these dudes would care. I guarantee you that if a white guy hooked up with a fat and ugly black woman, no black dudes would be angry about it.

You can oppress a group without being in power. Using criminality and physical assaults as a weapon of war is pretty common. When you conquer a country the soldiers will rape the women as a sign of having won. Rape has been a tool used in every war even how sickening it might seem.

In my country the rape rate have nearly quadroupled in about twenty years time. Assaults with racist undertone is becoming very common as well as the violence is more brutal (i.e. gang rapes, gang assaults, etc.) . If you look at official statistics from my country then there is a huge disparity between white and other races crime rate. The perpetrators (assaults, rape) are often of other color than white and the victims are almost exclusivly white, especially the rape victims. I read a few weeks ago about a gang of women who specialized in attacking blond women, they assaulted them and then degraded them... because they had blond hair. Another newspaper I read about a rape gang who had specialized in raping women.. for the fun of it.

I've been robbed and assaulted sofar and there were racist undertones in those occations. Many of my friends have been assaulted or robbed. Hate against a group can mean negative effects for that group if they are exposed to a lot of criminal activities.

What you need to realize is that not every white person is in charge and have power at their disposal. Many are middle income people. It is these people who get to feel the hate. I am one of these people.

Just out of curiosity, what is the reason for that? Not trying to pick a fight or anything, just wondering what is your rationale behind that sentiment.

I bet I'll piss people off if I wrote exactly what I thought. Rewind five years and you'd have a person who were open to all people no matter their origin. What changed me wasn't the time I got assaulted or robbed, it was when they drove a car into my friend, walked out of the car, grabbed his wallet and sped off leaving him bleeding in the gutter.

Now everytime I open the newspaper there is a new rape, rape rape rape... more ****ing rapes. And no one does anything, i feel ill inside when I think of all the victims. Being assaulted were pretty bad but I don't even dare to imagine how awful it would be to have five people taking turns in raping you. All protests against the explosion of crimes is brutally silenced. The kids of these people are out of control and act like a band of bumbling baboons high on crack. There is no respect towards the host people in my country at all, all the kindness I've given have been returned with ****. I'm starting to think that all the consanguinity in the countries where many of these immigrants originate from have done something to **** up their heads. Something is just wrong.

You really do need to live here to understand how surreal the situation is, even my mother and father agree with the situation, people talk amongst themselves but everyone looks over their shoulders afraid that someone have overheard and went for the racist branding iron.

Having my daughter getting involved with these troglodytes I see everyday would crush my heart. I make it a purpose only to pursue white women because I believe all races should stick to their own women.

And just to add on the end. I know nothing about the situation in the US, this situation only apply to my country. I am not a nationalist, I don't care for my country one bit. I am not advocating that whites are superior to other races.

Not to turn this into a religious discussion any further but :

God never said to not date/marry outside your race. He merely said to not marry non-israelites because (at the time) non-israelties were considered pagan , thus meaning: "don't marry anyone who does not serve the god of the israelites."

It was a covenant between jews and god and not intended for the rest of the world.

I wouldn't say America is the most racist or least racist country. It's somewhere in between. Some countries can be very non-racist in public, but very racist in private. I think the U.S. is like that. Whereas a country like Brazil everybody is mixed and nobody gives interracial unions even the slightest stare, but the wealthy people are the ones with the whitest skin and the suffering poor are mostly dark skinned, so it's racist in the realm of economics and power, but not so much as far as intermixing.

I don't know what the least racist country would be. That's hard to quantify. That would be a country where it truly makes no difference in your life whatsoever what your race happens to be. I can't think of any examples off hand. Maybe Tibet? Greenland? lol.
