practice is practical
I use chat-sites to practice saying different things to women.
I agree that most communication comes from body language and voice tone. Its how monkeys communicate.
But a woman is initially interested in you from your alpha-male posture and the 'you don't impress me' voice tone, knowing certain types of verbal communication can increase her interest. That communication is the ****y and funny that's all over this site. Not giving a woman what she wants is another. By practicing online, for those of us where this stuff is not yet second nature (though it is becoming that way), we can have enough experience so that we don't freeze up when confronted by a hot woman.
For various reasons, we all have different speeds of progression. If you've never struggled to talk to a woman, than your point of view is going to be totally different from someone who only recently has been able to even hold eye contact with one.
I also agree with matius who simply sees it as another avenue for meeting women. What if you're snowed in but you feel like macking? go online. Start chatting to a woman who lives nearby, get her attracted to you, and get her number a few days later. I've done it, and I wasn't even trying (perhaps that's why I was so successful with that one). And once you meet this person, its no longer an online relationship.
The internet only becomes a problem when it becomes a substitute for going out and trying at the mall, party, wherever. Don't fall for some girl 3000 miles away and talk to her online every night for 7 hours. But do practice your DJ attitude, especially if you're new to it.. See that it works, then go out and use it. That's what I do. It also helps you realise there are literally millions of chicks out there. If one won't respond, just try another. Works that way in real life too. You become unattached to any one outcome.
