Interesting situation (should I turn down a 3some)

I broke up with a girl 3 months ago in college. I caught her making out with my friend. I am still hung up over it.. My plan to get past this was to stop chasing girls and take a break away from girls for a while and concentrate on school, gym, and hobbies. Then suddenly a friend of mine approaches me of wanting a 3some (the cool kind-2 girls 1 guy). While I am in a good position, I rejected saying im not that type of guy anymore (I have a history of being a player). Do you guys think I made the right decision? she said I could call her anytime I want if I change my mind.
